More losses - well done all!
SuggsI bought some carrots reduced in tesco along with some reduced fresh coriander so a pot of carrot and coriander soup coming up chez honey - its really easy to make and very filling. I think I have posted the recipe somewhere in this thread.
Edimew - retiredlady beat me to it. Most of the cake pieces muller lights are between 1/2 to 1 1/2 syn and the muller layers are 1 1/2syns. You can use wholemeal pasta as a HE(b) on red days - not sure the exact amount but I can check for you later.
Tesco Meat free Spinach and ricotta sausages. I discoverd them today and just had 2 with a tin of baked beans for my lunch along with 2 slices of M& S Count on us wholemeal bread. It was yum. The sausages are FREE on red or green SW days. I'd thoroughly recommend them. For those that maybe didnt know you can have 2 slices of the M&S wholemeal loaf (the count on us range) as a HE (b). Its much nicer than Nimble.
Better get back to putting the rest of the shopping away. I hate this bit.
PS IceIce - hope you feel better soon x0 -

Ditto thank you as it says last weeks which is 8.5 lb but lost 3 lb this week so it should say 11. 5 lb many thanks:j
Hi Victory - Lois hasnt done this weeks chart yet so don't panic. I'm sure she will have it done today. Well Done on the 11.5 lbs - thats fantastic :T
Well done Consultant too and sorry I forgot to say welcome to Slowly fading :wave:0 -
Don't let it, you have done really well to lose 11.5 lbs in 5 weeks. Its not easy to lose weight (dont we all know it!). Dont look at the total amount you have to lose - just think of the next 7lbs and do that each time. Your total loss is almost a stone and that alone must be having a good affect on your general health - if you hadnt started trying you would be 11.5lbs (or more) heavier today. One woman in my group has lost 1 1/2 stone and has reduced her blood pressure tablets and stopped taking the cholesterol (sp?) tablets on the advice of her GP. You've done really well so far and you are providing lots of support on here so don't let it drag you down.0

Someone recently mentioned (was it one of the Katies or consultant
)that they had an up to date list of Healthy Extras and were enjoying a different breakfast cereal from it. Would it be possible for them to email it to me if I pm them my email address? I'm fed up with weetabix, bran flakes or porridge for breakfast and forgot to ask my consultant last night because I didnt stay to class.
Thanks in advance0 -

Edimew and Retiredlady rice can't be used as a HEB on red days because it doesn't have enough fibre in it. Also if you have pasta on red days, it must be wholemeal.

Hello Ladies :j
May I join the fun?
I'm Puss, 38yrs young, single mum with 2 girls. Started with SW last Oct, lost 2st between Oct - Dec. Been struggling during Jan with a small gain (which mystified me as I had been so good).
Back on track now. I get weighed at my club on Monday eves, and found that I had lost 0.5lb last night. (But did think I would have gained as I went out twice for meals last week).
I've been reading through this thread for a few days, and love the way you are all soooo supportive of each other and give out tips etc.
I have loads to lose, so might be here for a while..lol. :rotfl: But I aim to lose as many pounds as possible during the year at SW, and save many more in my Christmas £2 savings jar too!

Welcome Puss - well done so far. I've found January a struggle with weight loss too so you arent alone. You can update us on your weight loss each week and Lois can add you to the chart if you want?
Welcome aboard :wave:0 -

Welcome aboard
Hi Honey
Thanx for the quick welcome!
I was just reading your post about the Spinach and ricotta sausages above. Like most SW members, I'm always on the look out for something free to eat! I recently reluctantly tried the Tomato and Basil Quorn Sausages (I used to hate the plain quorn sausages!) And I was quite surprised! Tasty without the aftertaste. And free! So nice and comforting with a big plate of free mash and tin of 'fat' peas. Just use a couple of syns for gravy and BINGO!
My kids aren't so keen on them though lol.0
