Seeking refuge in the PC as DH is watching Rugby and I am not really into that.

Friends came around yesterday and we had lunch out. Had some chips and a steak wrap so not too bad. Then had lots of sweets in the afternoon and 3 glasses of wine but no dinner apart from fruit and some carrots. Only 3 days into my 7 glass a week and already up to 5. Staying with my boss on Tuesday night she is cooking dinner. She is forever on a diet so I am sure that will be OK just a bit scared as I don't really know her that well. Definetely have to stay off the drink cannot risk being silly.

I like your little survey I have tried to answer it honestly.

How often do you all weigh yourselves?
My WI is Monday AM, no clothes on. Sometimes a sneak one in on Saturday or Sunday but no more

How much weight do you have to lose?
Would like to be 11st or 70kilo so about 9lb left to go

How much weight have you lost?
    About 5lb since August

    How tall are you?
    Very tall at 6 2ins.

What one food do you think is your dieting saviour?
Raw carrots, grapes any fruit really

How much water do you drink a day?
About 8 glasses a day and 3 cups of tea if working from home. If out at least 1 latte and always have bottles of water in the car. I love tap water so no problem there.

Have a beef stew in the slow cooker for tonight so that should be nice.

Just me again reading the new Tesco Magazine it has an article about cuting back on booze. We know we should only drink up to 14 units forr women but do you know how much a unit is.

    1 unit =
    * half a pint of beer, lager or cider 3-4% alcohol by volume (that quite low alcohol content i would say)

    * 50ml of fortified wine such as sherry or port 20% abv

    * 1 small glass of wine 125ml 12% abv are :eek: 1 1/2 units:eek:

I had no idea the wine was 1 1/2 unit I thought it was one so drinking a large glass of 150ml must be nearly 2 so my 7 glasses is actually just inside the guidelines.

Really surprised will have to seriously cut back now.

Just as a final bit from the article
    125ml of red wine = 85 calories
    125ml of white wine = 83 calories

Take care all - I promise I will stay off the wine tonight.

bought DS some school trousers did not fit so walked back into town this morning (3/4 mile there and 3/4 mile back):j

As soon as lunch was done, on the bicycles to the park ....10 mins away cycling, around it over and over again back again (took two hours):j

So happy with the excercise today I have done:D

I was utterly pathetic on the bike:rotfl: couldn't stabilize:rotfl: turn round without putting my foot down:rotfl: it has been ten years but eventually managed some decorum:D It was really good actually and am now a bit stiff but happy to look forward to my weigh in tomorrow.....;)

Also for incentive I have not shopped in River Island for many a year as nothing fits..... I have always wanted a pair of white trousers...cream/off white easy to come by but pure white a rarity.... RI have some... so the incentive is to buy a pair...maybe a few more weeks yet and that is to be my goal...showed H yesterday and he likes them so it is all steam ahead to get them and they will fit.... THEY WILL FIT.... They will fit!!!

Try to have your meals during the night at the same sort of intervals you would during the day. Take a pasta salad in a large box with cold new potatoes - I love this and you can eat it over a long period without worrying it will go off. Take grapes, bananas etc for a sweet treat. Have lots of drinks to stave off hunger.

It must be hard, I'm sure I couldn't get used to sleeping in the daytime, specially when the weather's as lovely as it has been these last few days.

Victory, I'm impressed with the exercise regime - good on you :T
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
  • Well done Victory! Fantastic job on the bike!

I haven't been on a bike for way too many years but when I have lost another couple of stone i will probably get one - i'm too scared about falling off at the moment and although i have the padding I know it will B****y hurt :)
Don't sweat the small stuff ................It's all small stuff!
