RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

I'd like to pre-order my copy now please ;)

Consultant, we have been talking about this for a few months now, the age range is 21-70 and the weight range is as big we even have a vicar saying yes. I suppose it is even more motivation to buff myself up? ;) whether it actually happens or not is still to been seen.

And no the bikini will not be in the calendar, maybe later though, I could be persuded :)

Im thinking of going back to rugby later, try and see if a place is available on the bench and get 20 minutes.

Hi Grandslamgirl and welcome. You seem to have done very well up to now, and I'm sure you'll continue until you get to your target. Well done!

Any diet which reduces your overall calorie intake will result in weight loss, but all diets are not equal by any means.

Healthy eating means not cutting out whole food groups or dropping your intake to ridiculously low levels like 500 calories a day. I posted a piece the other day, taken from a medical site which explains how eating too little makes your body start to live off it's lean muscle tissue, which, in turn, slows your metabolism, thus making it even harder to lose weight.

Also, though it can be immensley satisfying to see the weight dropping off at a rate of knots, it doesn't give you time to learn new habits, so when you get to target, and come 'off' the diet, your normal eating habits will inevitably return and the weight returns too.

Those of us who have ever been overweight face a constant battle, I'm afraid. But, it's worth it to like yourself when you catch a glimpse of your reflection in a shop window, instead of getting a shock!!!
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
  • lighterlife sounds quite scary to me! Can imagine you would end up being quite scared and resentful of your consultant too which i can't imagine would help matters. Ah well, back to the cleaning jag and then i've got a dress to cut out later so that will keep me away from the fridge!

Hello to all the new people - i'm sorry i'm rubbish with names, I don't know how L:ois manages the list like she does.

edit - how on earth did i do that smiley thing?

    Hiya,
Check out the following site - it's for Splenda recipes - lots of lovely recipes which i suppose must be lower calorie than the regular stuff.

Sam, If you have a look over on the recipe collection (see 1st post on this thread for the link) there are a few cake recipes - weetabix cake, cous cous cake. I havent tried them so cant vouch for the taste though ;)
