Many thanks for the warm welcome - hopefully i'll be able to support others and get a little support for myself too.
Weekends always seem to be best for me, i find it much easier to stay focussed when I don't have to go to work and as I don't go out on the razz much (i am a single mum) I tend to have the occasional glass (or bottle) of wine at home. I seem to still lose weight even with drinking winebut i go phone crazy and call the world and his friends as opposed to munching crisps all night
Oh well whatever works eh?!Don't sweat the small stuff ................It's all small stuff!0 -
Thanks for that will let you know if any are any good.

The Weetabix cake is rather like Soreen and I really like the AllBran cake made with banana (2 mashed, not syn-free strictly speaking, but what the hell, lol).I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
good evening :hello:
instead of my usual evening munchies i am having a cuppa :T
i am having a red day today so for lunch it was omlette with bacon and ham and lots of veg and dinner was HM burgers
samcan(t)cope: i am with you on that one. i am missing my cakesI have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work0 -
I might join you for a cuppa piixxysu , just had a lovely stir fry made by hubby, I keep finding I get really peckish at about 10pm normally I would raid the biscuit tin. now I just go without. they do say you shouldnt eat after 9pm, that is probably why I am overweight.0

Hi Grandslamgirl and welcome to the thread  I'm the opposite from you. I find the weekends hardest cos there is so much temptation. I find it easier when I am work because I can only eat what I have brought in with me.
Consultant - The all bran cake sounds good - is the recipe on the collection.. off to have a look.....
EDit - Yes it is there. Here's the link for anyone who is interested!

Evening all. Had a rubbish rubbish day between 2 job rejections and fighting with parents was feeling low and without thinking bout a big bar of chocolate. Was about to eat it whilst watchin a friends DVD when the episode when Joey puts the book in the freezer came on and for some reason something in me clicked and immediately threw the chocolate in the freezer where it will stay!! I sound like a nutcase i know but at least i didnt eat it!0

Well done Ciara - more willpower than me at the moment!
It's a lovely sunny but freezing day here in the North. Have been out with the dog for an hour and a half and am now knackered! It's day one for me again today - I have effectively had the past two weeks off with travelling with work and generally being rubbish. I have woken up with a positive feeling and want to get back on track.
Hope everyone has a good day,
Rachel. x0 -
Morning all, How is everyone today? Great will power Ciara - well done :T
Rachel - how did the dog get on at your parents - has he had a weigh in lol
Been trying really hard over the past week and if I havent lost any weight tomorrow at WI I think I might crack up!!
DD was at a bday party yesterday. They sent home a plateful of buns for DS who isnt well and I resisted them all night. After kids had gone to bed I put them away in the cupboard so that they werent tempting me and had a muller light instead :A Was meant to go out last night but as DS was ill I didnt. Had bought buns for the babysitter and when my bro and sister in law called in I sent them home with the box. I need this WI to be good as next weekend we are out for a Christening and a 30th Birthday including a meal so it mightnt be as good as I want to be. Had a bridesmaid fitting yesterday - the other 2 bridesmaids are litterally a size 6-8 (if even ) I felt like a beached whale beside them. The dress is only part made and it was really the under (very see through ) layer that we were trying on. They were stood there with these lovely flat stomachs and, well, I wasnt. I was fighting back the tears and couldnt wait to get my clothes on and out of the place. No-one said anything but I could sense the sneaky peeks. That was my light bulb moment. I'm not huge, but I do need to lose some more weight and get rid of my "baby belly" - bear in mind my youngest is 4 :rotfl: How do I get rid of the flabby bit?! Some say situps some say cardio exercise?? Either way, I left the shop in the foulest mood and sulked for the rest of the day. Its really put me off being bridesmaid because I dont want to spend the day feeling fat beside the other 2. One thing though, they both complained that they were flat chested - I dont have that problemI guess we all have our insecurities whatever shape and size we are.
Sorry this has turned out to be an essay! Off to have some brekkie. Have a good day all.0 -
Morning honey!
The dog does seem a bit tubbier! Hence the extra long walk this morning - good for the both of us I guess.
I know exactly how you feel - I too am not massively overweight (about 10st 2 or 3 ish) but I have big legs and a small belly that I am not happy with. I am a size 10/12 but feel like a right big heffer sometimes especially when comparing myself with younger women - I'm 35.
I haven't had kids but think that once you get into your thirties things start to change regardless and firmness and non wobbliness is much harder to achieve regardless of how much you weigh.
Don't worry about the bridesmaids - you'll look resplendent with your ample chest and womanly figure, not like a little girl in a grown up frock like they will!!!:T0
