Just found a bomb of a saving, going from Huddersfield to Northampton on a Saturday, surprisingly still getting return tickets rather than singles.
**Prices in brackets are with 16-25 railcard**
Huddersfield - Northampton: Off Peak Return = £61.50 (£40.60)
But, splitting at Manchester Piccadilly AND Stoke-on-Trent, the cost is nearly halved.
Huddersfield to Manchester Piccadilly: Off Peak Day Return = £9.50 (£6.25)
Manchester Piccadilly to Stoke-on-Trent: Off Peak Day Return = £10.00 (£6.60)
Stoke-on-Trent to Northampton: Super Off Peak Return = £12.00 (£7.90)
Total Cost: £31.50 (£20.75), a saving of £30 (£19.85), that's about 49%.0 -
hi , we make this journey maybe twice a year a return costs a massice £51 each, i have tried to find a better cheaper way by buying singles and booking in advance but with no avail, any help would be fantastic, thanks0

This is my first post, I'm new to this ticket-splitting game. Would love to have suggestions for ticket-splitting for this route. Cheapest I've found is abut £30.

Birmingham - Altrincham : What dates, is that a return price? I can see one way fares of £13 without any splitting and it's probably more work than it's worth to try and get it any lower0

manchester to skegness
Manchester to Leeds starts at £5, Leeds to Skegness starts at £9.500 -
Could anyone help me in possible split ticketing from Oxford to Manchester? I will be travelling mostly on weekends, and cheaper advance fares (14 pounds single) are very limited compared to weekdays. Off-peak return is 61 pounds, while 2 advance singles there and back is 43 pounds minimum altogether. Anyway I could beat these?0

Oxford-Manchester weekends
Try the Oxford Espress or Oxford Tube to London, then Virgin to Manchester with a Mobitix ticket
Just remember there's a lot of engineering works on London to Manchester currently at weekends0 -
