Can you go this Saturday or Sunday?
If so, take advantage of SouthWestTrains MidsummerMaddness promotion.
Simply, buy a day return from Waterloo to Poole for £10.00. Valid on any train.
An offpeak return from Margate to Waterloo East will cost you £25.30.

So complete return trip = £35.30 per person.

I wonder if someone could possibly help me find 2 adult cheapest return tickets to Falmouth (Cornwall) from Biggleswade, Bedfordshire & back of course, using this system? I don't seem to be very successful and we are looking for the cheapest tickets?

    Many thanks in advance. :)

Got a request, Cardiff-Brighton (and Brighton-Cardiff) both returns

this is a route i would use on a regular basis for as much as 2 years, so i need a saving from the standard £48.20 return

if anyone has had any experience with this journey, or with journeys from Bristol or Swansea (same rail line), please let me know! In the mean time, I will seek one myself

    note: i have a 16-25 rail card
i would prefer not to rely on advance tickets (apart from the regular 1 week in advance ones) as i don't plan more than 1 week in advance!

    Hi Keith,

We are travelling at the beginning of October. The cheapest I have found so far using the split ticket system have actually been more than finding tickets the usual way through Trainline! i.e. approx £90 via Trainline and over £150 looking the other way! :(

Going out on 3rd and returning on 10th £90 total looks good for 2 adults.

If (as in this case) you can get advance singles for the whole journey then it's a waste of time looking for splits - they will invariably cost more.

No, the £90 I found is for each adult! :(
