EON Saveonline 3 & Saveonline 9

The 47.5% gas increase for me is for the first 900kw per year. Bad enough, but for the rest of the consumption it's a more modest 14.3% increase, at least where I live.
That's the trouble with these 'global' percentages they quote. Only the ones on my own spreadsheets can be trusted as those applying to me.
I switched from SaveOnline 5 to SaveOnline 9 yesterday, and I was amazed just how quick the whole process was (including the receipt of a new bill), provided you had up to date meter readings to hand.0 -
On my literature the first 900kwh is for electricity, with gas it's the first 2680kwh.
Did you transfer without penalty from SOL5 to SOL9 ? Haven't yet asked the question whether a transfer is possible within the same company before the end of the original plan end date.0 -
Im on the same boat as Bushawacka, im on SOL5 for Electric and im wondering if and when i should transfer to SOL9?0

Tranferred without penalty twice now (this is the 2nd time). I was told that as long as you weren't leaving EON completely then there was no charge.0 -
Sorry for my error, caused by wrongly reading my spreadsheet. Of course it's 2680kWh for gas.
I had no question of any cancellation fee when I switched from SaveOnline 5 yesterday. There have been plenty of postings on here making it clear that with E.ON it's not their normal practice to charge when you're staying with them them and just switching plans. My SaveOnline 5 was to end on 1 April 12. My end date for the SaveOnline 9 is 12 Aug 12. This date will be 12 months from the date you switch, but how long will v9 last I wonder?0 -
gone onto SOL9 from energyonline (after FOL8 ended
) Even if it is held for a couple of months, its still cheaper than standard.... 0 -
Just switched from e-on ol3 to e-on ol9 with effect from 13th September. I was told that if ol9 ceases in the mean time they will 'honour without a doubt'.:wave:0

You mean you can POSTDATE a switch?
Reading this, lots of people will swamp E.On with calls today, all trying to reserve SaveOnline 9 for 13th September.
If they then withdraw SaveOnline 9 on 1st September, and a better tariff appears, they will then be flooded with calls to cancel the reservation.
I hope all they have to do is flag an action for 13th September, otherwise the computer will be terribly confused.0 -
I've just completed my switch from Scottish Power to Co-op Energy, and have now started the switch for my mother from Eon to Co-op. Co-op Energy have reintroduced their joining "gift" from today - £25 credit to the first bill. Not great, but given the other options and past experiences with other companies, I am really surprised at how profession Co-op Energy seem - gave me some decent replies to a few questions. Their unit charges are all at one rate, with a separate fixed daily charge for the supply. No leaving penalties if it proves a mistake. Plus Co-op points of around £20 a year.0

Yes, it has been postdated. The saver online 3 finish date is now showing on my online account as 12th September. I was also told that I can change to a different tariff later on with no penalty charge.
