Sts for me again please and 1 hr to add to the challenge. Been being naughty alot recently and really need to change that. Think the next step would be to follow a meal plan, instead of just guessing what is good for me and snacking really need to get that back under control. Will be browsing the internet later to see if i can get a diet meal plan for free.

    Hey all,

FS 1.5lb loss for me thanks!

Looks like my body is reacting as expected and even though I have added calories back in I am still losing weight as I was below my BMR.

From today I will be adding back in all but 100 calories of my deficit to work towards a maintenance figure.

    Regards

  • Hey guys it's only me! lol

Did 45 min zumba class yesterday and today i did 8 mins on the bike, 20 mins brisk walk, i was sweating! so unfit! and then an hours yoga class.

I really fancied chinese so went to the buffet, it was crap had no taste or flavour, didnt eat a great deal, think a dry rivita and no water would have gone down better, guess its why i shouldnt have gone in the first place.

My body is killing from yoga! one of those where you know it will hurt the next day, but i have free membership until 14th dec when i have to cancel as its a ms job, but i am planning to use it alot in the next few weeks, the class was bril and i really wanna do boxercise, it is a very basic gym, bring a padlock no sauna etc, but what do i expect for free? ballentynes? lol

Also my friend wants a gym buddy, it is £30 a year to join our work one, it is very small but does the job, so will be doing that in the new year.

In the meantime i will be keeping up my weekly zumba.

the advent calender sounds great and i will deffo be joing next months challenge if it is that!

Will also weigh myself on friday.

Any diet which excludes entire food groups (e.g. meat, carbohydrates etc) is a bad idea, at any age. Anyway, diets and counting calories make me think of food all day. Not helpful. As mentioned before, better follow a few simple rules, which have have helped me, too:

    - Have a comprehensive breakfast with foods that take time to digest (e.g. egg, wholemeal bread, sausages, but eat fruit, too).
    - If you get hungry during the day, eat! You can even eat some nuts or heavy stuff like cheese, but don’t eat them in the evening (they add pounds).
    - When you eat, eat consciously! That means: sit down at a table and concentrate on the food. Don’t eat while watching television or while playing on a computer etc.
    - Eat little in the afternoon, avoid eating at night.
    - Avoid everything that is sweet, because sweet things make you hungry. The exclusion also covers artificial sweeteners (farmers use artificial sweeteners to fatten pigs).
    - Avoid light carbo-hydrates (pizza, pasta, chips, ketchup) and avoid all snacks.
    - No sweet drinks, either.
    - Drink lots of water (that fills your stomach and slows down your digestion).
    - Eat raw fruit and vegetables (raw food takes longer to digest).
    - Less processed foods (e.g. whole meal sourdough bread) are preferable over more processed foods (e.g. white toast).
    - Avoid all alcoholic beverages (they have many calories).
    - Built exercise into your daily life: walk up the stairs instead of taking the lift, practise some press ups in front of the telly, ...
    - Avoid busses and cars. Walk instead or go by bike.

You will feel great, not only because you will loose weight, but also because you will do more exercise and eat better. As I learned with Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride - http://iitm.be/GAPSenES - this will have a positive impact on intestinal flora, which will help against cravings.
