Hello all. :)Could I join your thread? I have started my life change today - lets just say enough is enough. I have never felt so bad.
I am not a member of a gym or slimming class. I love walking, have a wii and some dvd's. I lost three stone about 10 years ago so I know what i have to do. Unfortunately I am 10 years older now and I know its going to be harder.
Firstly I need to get my portion sizes in control. I have bought myself a smaller dinner plate. I'd be grateful if anyone can tell me what proportions I should have for protein etc.Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!0 -
Welcome Northwest. You have certainly come to the right place. You are right, it definately gets harder as you get older - but can be done. I was recently told that a portion of protein should be the size of your palm. Saying that I have been cutting down on carbs and eating more protein, which seems to be working for me. Join in with the excercise challenges they will help to keep you on track. Good luck.
Just 30 min Davina DVD for me today please Fred.0 -

Welcome Northwest. I have done really well on this thread. Just had my blood pressure checked and it is 110/70, which is very healthy. Now I need to have my cholesterol checked again, which was high in March 2011, at 6!0
