Did my DVD yesterday so another hour - now up to 16hr 40 mins.
Victory - I agree that you have to give yourself a break. I don't know if people exist who can start a diet, follow it exactly to the letter, get to where they want to be and then stop, job done. But I know it's not me!
If I'm too strict with myself I rebel so I have to give myself some leeway and accept slower progress (not that I'm making much at all at the moment). Upping the exercise is definitely making me feel better and I think the way I'm eating now is getting towards 'normal' which is another of my aims.
The way I look at it is that actually I could eat anything I wanted but I choose not to!
So....have that biscuit - but not the packet!August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.0 -

Totally agree and I am trying really hard to adopt this attitude. My problem is once I have that one biscuit I crave more so I am better leaving them alone. Saying that I did have a mince pie at my DD's today which was a nice treat.
Did my measurements today and compared them to when I began exercising regularly in Feb. Have lost 6 1/2 inches off my waist which I am really pleased with :T, but only 1 1/2 inches off my hips (which is strange as my trousers are feeling really baggy) and nothing from my 'bingo wings'.
Just 45 min walk for me today please Fred0 -
I've had a bad weekend only 30 mins exercise on Friday, none yesterday or today. Diet has been terrible aswell, I've slipped back into my old ways. Today I became a godparent to my friends baby girl. We celebrated with a meal out and lots of cake after. Right now I feel fit to burst! I'm looking forward to tomorrow to get back on track, I like being in control of my eating.
Hope everybody had a better weekend than me.LBM 04/10:j

50 min Zumba for me today Fred.
Thought I would give it another go - still find it rediculously fast but hoping to get used to it. Being a glutten for punishment have also booked myself into another session in the morning.

Early weigh-in this week and 1lb lost! Really pleased, after weeks of STS!
Now starting to worry about Christmas... any tips? Low carbing at Christmas seems rather challenging! At the moment I am thinking of having small portions of cake and pud, a couple of chocolates, not the whole layer, one mince pie OR a piece of cake, not both! A glass of wine OR a glass of Baileys...you get the idea!0 -

If I was still low carbing I'd probably make a cheese platter for nibbles instead of chocs, or maybe have one after the main meal to finish it off (and stop myself feeling 'deprived' for skipping/only having a tiny portion of pud or cake). We also drink quite a lot on xmas day so would stick to spirits. We had Amaretto for a 'xmassy drink' last year as it's supposed to be lower in cals than Bailey's (although I think that Bailey's would probably be lower in carbs), so maybe have a look around for lower carb alternatives as well as limiting portions, so you can be a bit more lenient.
Personally, I'm having a day off on xmas day! I'm going to be good for the build up, parties, meals out, etc, but will let myself off on 'the big day'.

Well I don't know about anyone else, but I'd quite like another climbing challenge - it will give me a push to use my Wii step more! I've kind of lost the plot with the exercise this month, but it's my birthday at the beginning of Dec so should be motivated for that, and will have Xmas on the brain afterwards so hope to make a real go of it next month.
