I have been away for the weekend too and have not logged any food or exercise since Thursday. I was suppose to do fancy dress and have a few drinks but illness has stopped me. But I know I have been eating the wrong things as my work trousers were tight this morning :( So I hope that after a few days of being back to normal that will go again.

    Welcome back Catalogue Queen

Eric - have you managed a run yet ?

Mandz - Glad you are finally feeling better

Jess - well done on boot camp :T I'd love to give that a go, it sounds like very hard work.

Hello I haven't been here for a few days, everybody is doing great.

I had a slight break over the weekend from sticking to 1200 calories a day and ate 1700 instead, it was great I felt like I was eating a feast everyday. I'm hoping this will give the weight lost a little kick start as things had practically stopped (I weigh myself everyday).

Can I ask what does bootcamp entail? It sounds hard...

    Hey all,

Well I followed through on my kicking it up a notch, spinning class on Friday, a run on Saturday and Body Pump on Monday.

Went to the doctors on Monday, something trivial and got my height, weight, blood pressure and resting heart rate measured. Now last time I went to the doctors, over a year ago, they mentioned the obese word in passing this time the word was athletic which is the first time I had heard that in the same sentence as me ever, nearly fainted. BP was quote perfect and my weight was 11st 3lb (BMI 24.25) now I have reweighed myself at home both on the Wii fit board and my scales and both say 11st 5lbs/5.75lbs so doctors scale maybe a bit generous but hey I am happy :-)

FS please add 3 mile run and body pump, lol, whatever 1 hours wieghted circuit training counts as :)

    Thanks alliwantistosave for comments :D

    Thanks all

    Morning

I can't get down town to weigh today or tomorrow so I'm going to send in an STS for this week.

I've done another 3 km so total is now 30 - I only need to do another 5/6 km so should be able to do it though it's more difficult in half term to do my own thing. I'm waiting 'til next week to really get going again.

I've put swimming on hold for a bit after yet another bout of 'swimming pool ear' - ouch.

  • I'm posting a STS this week, Fred :)

It was my birthday last week, and I did have some cheese cake and a few too many fajitas, but I definitely didn't go wild. I suspect the sts is down to getting back into exercising more - I hadn't gone near my exercise bike in over 6 weeks, so I've started that again and I'm starting resistance training again, and I have ordered a couple of exercise dvds, including the 30 day shred.

So hopefully things will start to move again soon...

Well it's a 2 lb gain for me this week :o I did have a night out on sat, and threw DS1 a birthday party on sun (made the cake and the buffet). I was quite good and gave cake away to lots of DS1's friends who live nearby trying to get rid of it, although I did have 3 pieces. Oh yeah, and we went to Mc Donalds too :o

Will be glad when DS1 is back at school and I can get back to normality as we've got a tea party today (another birthday thing), and are out for lunch on fri. I am quite disappointed with the gain though as it is just so easy to put weight on, and so bloomin' hard to lose it :( I've kept the Wii on after my weigh in so am now off to hula hoop for 10 mins before the kids get up...

    67.3 kg today. That's - 0.5 kg down from a week ago.

I seem to be averaging just about a pound a week. That's fine.

On Sunday there was a special day at church, we weren't going to go because it was one of those things where there was lunch. We were specifically asked to go, however. I explained that I didn't want to bring food to share or to share in what others brought - not being miserable, just that I know the kinds of things they bring. However, they wanted us to go, and said why not bring your own picnic lunch. So we did that. I didn't want to bore people about my diet, but I was directly asked 'why can't you eat fruit'. I explained that it's the stage I'm at, fruit contains huge amounts of sugar, I'll be able to eat fruit eventually but certain fruits are a long-term no-no. I also said that I don't eat potatoes, will probably never eat them again. That caused a bit of a shock as I thought it would, there are people out there who just cannot imagine how it's possible to stay alive without potatoes in some shape or form.

Just before we left however, someone noticed that I'm a lot slimmer than I was. I've actually lost 11 pounds since the end of July and it does show, now. It was great to have someone notice it and not just focus on the disadvantages and 'why' of the diet.
