Nope your details are sold on from pretty much every Company you use on a regular basis from your bank to mobile phone provider and even the credit reference agencies.0

Still- birkee asked what did they put in the telephone directory where you live? I said that was wrong but am being put right. So which directory is this? I'm assuming that he/she means there is a directory that goes out to customers and one they keep or give out to companies with all info included.weight loss target 23lbs/49lb0

just for you Silk, I will go back on my agreement made with said Company to prove you wrong, as I said to Jamespir, you pay up the money I have to give back and I will gladly show you the full details including the letter and a copy of the actual cheque.
You make the payment to a charity of my choice from my area and once I confirm they have the money I will then post the full details, deal ?
Put up or shut up !
Have you signed some sort of contract with this company from Hell :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
It's not me that has to prove anything ...it's you if you want to carry on with this fiction then you need to start coming up with some sort of fact's relating to it.
The cheque and the letter don't exist I know it you know it and most of the people on here know it.It's not just about the money0 -

I've said before ... the directory is only ONE way to get your details, and because I know the directory is being used, you are asking me to prove that that is where they got YOUR details.
Maybe not YOUR details, but all the ones that ARE in the directory.
Hence, "What do they put in the directory where you live" if not the details of the people NOT ex directory?0 -
How about you scan the cheque and the letter and black out any details of the company?Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0

All cold calls are usually greeted by me with silence, after a few times they do not try again.0

Could the sales person who made the call initially, take the OP to court for their own data protection (or whatever) and claim the loss of their job and loss of earnings, due to the OP recording the call to use against them, without their knowledge?
I must add though, I think this is either a) a scam, b) the OP being fobbed off or c) BS.What a strange idea you have on what is called 'DATA'.
The callers name is not data, their behaviour is not data, the contents of their call to the OP is not data.
Ok smart !!!!!, I did put (or whatever), as I do not know what category this would fall under if the caller were to try and claim against the op.
As has already been pointed out, you can record calls without another persons consent or knowledge, but can you record these calls to use against them in this manner?
Clearly you mustn't know either as you haven't answered the question, just tried to be clever highlighting an almost irrelevant minor detail. But going from the rest of your posts, it is understandable.0
