    Quite agree with the last line .......However I find it very hard to understand why a company would go to the lengths you describe and reward you with a compensation payment but apply a gagging order to it.

    Usualy when a company rectifies a situation they are quite happy to receive recognition for it and some even shout it from the rooftops ;)
    The facts that you don't want to mention the names of the company, the director, the people you spoke to, the nature of the call, the phone number which called etc etc all add to the smoke screen I'm afraid.

    Sorry to say at the moment I feel theres more romance in this thread than a Cathrine Cookson novel :rotfl:

    Silk, As I have said some Company's would rather not be shown up for having bad staff, and as for a gagging order well I suppose it is some kind of one, but if it were me there position I would hardly be wanting to show up my call centre in the public domain having such imature staff who think its ok to abuse members of the public, as for not wanting to mention the name I did agree as per the gesture of goodwill sent and received that I would in turn let the matter drop and not publicise any specific details relating to there Company name, surely you can respect that.

    As I also said I do not want this money and will be passing it on to a local charity, so I feel I have benefited in two ways here, one I got justice against an abusive young lady and two some others will benefit on the back of the payment.

    Sonyhamster, they did know about the recording as the Director had listened to my copy and then went back and listened to his own telephone recording, this was not an issue for him knowing that I recorded the actual call, as I can see from his actions here that he just wanted to rectify a bad situation.

    All I can say is well done to the Company in question for acting quickly and resolving the problem I had, others out there could learn a lesson from this instance.

    You remember wrong as has already been stated in the thread.

    Why can't people read before posting.

    Sorry, my bad - I often find that people will post the first post and a whole load of other people post rubbish after, which is why I haven't recently read the latter..

    Now that you've pointed it out, I probably should start reading them again..

    So all of a sudden from being incenced by these companies that plague you and getting abuse from their employees to the extent of recording them and getting hold of directors ....you suddenly give sympathy and understanding towards their good name :eek:
    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    Why on earth would they think you were going to publish anything unless they bought you off with a gratis payment ???

    Sorry Crazy but it doesn't hold water with me ;)

    I think it's a bit harsh to refer to them as 'vermin' - Yes you got one who was particularly bad but they're just doing their job after all...
    :hello: Saving for that rainy day!
