I have just had a response from Robert Diamonds office....

    Dear Miss Munton

Thank you for your email dated 23 November. I have forwarded your email to the relevant department and you will be receiving a response shortly.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Yours sincerely

I'm not holding out much hope though as they have sent it to the same team/department that have I called 9 times now and had not solid update from!!!

The email signature of this person was Executive Sup port Team
Specialist Complaints - Head Office. Surely they should be looking into the case themselves not passing it back to a team who do not have any authority to do anything?!

I've had an answer back from my email to Bob, which simply says Regrettably, I am unable to advise you of an exact date when the refund will be paid. However, I will now liaise with our PPI Refund Team to ensure the payment is made as soon as possible.

No money received, but emailed Bob again last Wednesday and an email was received on Friday to say sorry and that we should hear more about money owed by Friday 9th December. Here's hoping!

I put in a claim to Barclays early October got a reply from them on the 24th October saying they were looking into my claim. Not heard anything yet, I was excited thinkin I'd get something by christmas but reading other peoples messages here it doesn't look likely boo hoo.

Great news: sent an email to Bob Diamond on the 5/12/11 asking about my claim and how long it would take. Received an email from their office today 8/12 saying my claim has been upheld and that they sent a letter to me on the 2/12/11 which i have yet to receive so I'm not sure how much I will be getting back and I will receive it within the next 40 days woop woop. I'm hoping as I still hold an account with them that it will go into my account sooner. fingers crossed.

Does anyone know if this effects my tax credits/job seekers do I have to declare it?
  • 2 claims out of 3 are ongoing, 1 was rejected!

So Last week I decided to email Mr Diamond and sent a letter off to the customer relations manager explaining why they should overturn their decision.

:rotfl:Funnily enough I received a call from one of his colleagues asking why I thought the decision was wrong - so I went through the whole process again and explained why/how the PPI had been mis-sold. She kindly listened to me and said that she would investigate in more detail.

Not really holding much hope on this one, however they are looking into the claim - so I must be thankful of that. Keep you posted on the progress. The other 2 claims have a deadline of 14th December, let's see what happens.
