This thread is designed to give a quick reference to show how quickly peoples claims are being dealt with by Barclays, one of the banks granted an extension to 16 weeks from the standard 8 week complaint timeline

Current position:

letter from Barclays saying a goodwill offer will be sent by 31st Aug . Finally yesterday (30/07) , we received a letter from the FOS ( which we had to chase) dated 07.07 saying that Barclays have 8 weeks to make us an offer.

Current position: Have received one letter dated 24th June advising that they will respond no later than 14th October 2011. Have done no chasing, just waiting it out.

by the time they responded and asked for more time at the end of sept 2010 it was then put on hold due to the jr.

Had goodwill letter in june 2011.
After reading people had e mailed ceo and been paid up with claims from this year, i sent an e mail regarding the fairness of the way claims were being dealt with,and am currently in contact with someone from Barclays about my hubbys claim from last monday.

Current Position: Sent 2 emails, had 2 letters back saying same thing, questionnaire sent to us too, been told would hear by 8th November 2011 but could be sooner depending on back log clearence

Wow! First offer I have seen for Barclaycard, congrats!!

Did they make the offer in writing? I'm just wondering whether I will be receiving a letter or a phonecall from them.
