I'm really happy for you BobbyMcDougall, congratulations, but it frustrates me that Barclays are not consistent in their payouts. Your money was in your account 6 days after you received your offer but some of us are well over our 40 days.
Enjoy spending it!0 -
Hi,
Claim started back in May this year.
Estimated redress figure of £7595 received September 6th.
.
A payment was made into my account yesterday (24th November) for £4395....... Not sure what has happened to the rest as I have not received the actual calculations letter yet.
Good luck.... it looks as though they are running 3 - 4 weeks past the 40 days especially for cases with loans that are still running.0 -
Well...FINALLY I HAVE MY REFUND :j:j:j
After all the stress I have gone through to get this far, the money is in my account this morning.
It does show that these emails to Bob Diamond do work as they put one person in charge of my claim and it was sorted when he said it would be.
For anyone still going through the stress of waiting I would urge you to not let up with phoning and emailing because it seems persistence does pay.:)

Fantastic news PJ74, what an amazing weekend you will have!
Did you continue to call Customer Services every day? Did you ask for a specific person to deal with your claim? I emailed Bob last week and so far nothing.0 -

Fantastic news MrsMet, another happy weekend for someone.
Did you receive everything you were hoping for? How long in total were you waiting?0 -

To be very honest I wasnt hoping for very much but I got quite a lot (over £49k) as I had the account many, many years by using and paying it off and then not being sensible and using it again (have now closed the account!). Original complaint was upheld and acceptance of the amount made on 21st September so been waiting 40+ days but so very worth it....keep plugging away and good luck !!!!!0 -

Wowzers! That's amazing.
It's success stories like yours which keeps me going. All the best0 -
When I emailed Bob Diamond that they put one person in charge of my complaint. Every time I phoned Customer Services after that there was a note on my file to say that he was continuing with it. I did get a letter last week to say that it couldn't be looked at before 24th November but as soon as that date came he would personally sort it out for me. Happily he was true to his word.0

I had my letter on 05.06.2011 to say my claim had been accepted and that it would be in my account in 40 working days (31.10.2011). Now 20 working days overdue, they have told me they are working 7 days a week though so this makes it 28 days overdue.
I emailed Robert Diamond on 23.11.2011 and again on 25.11.2011. No response. I also sent an email via the 'contact us' part of the website which said I would have a response in 48 hours, still nothing.
I called the team again on 25.11.2011 and they advised they could see it was now WAY overdue and it wouldn't be long before it was sorted. They could see that I had logged a complaint via the website and said that someone was dealing with it but I still haven't had a response0
