Does he like going on holiday as a general rule or is he a home-bird? Initially I thought what pinkshoes asked, you must have decided beforehand, but I've read your explanation and do you think your DH has decided in his head that it's only for a couple of nights, based on what you were booking etc and has just a general idea of being off for the rest of the week.

Can't he leave you and child at a site full of facilities and come back and pick you up a day or 2 later?

just read that you dont drive, he might not really want the massive drive home after two weeks then straight back to work if you know what i mean, for some people driving really tires them out maybe your OH feels like this??

Perhaps you could try and talk to him again and maybe compromise on like say 1 full week camping then come home and relax

    Totally agree!

And when you get home Victory you could plan on getting your license...it will give you more control in such decisions.

It sounds odd only wanting to go for 2 nights, but I think you're reaction is a little melodramatic!

Could you not compromise and find some campsites on the route home, so you can go see different things for another couple of nights?

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

No not really a home bird sure he likes his tv shows and his armchair:rotfl: but he likes being outdoors and was excited to be going on walks, seeing the campsite, having a beer with the people around us etc, what do you mean a general idea of being off for the rest of the week?

We can't afford for him to come home 175 and then come back 175 miles to pick us up it is not on the doorstep it is a 350 miles round trip see above post:D
Then tell him that is what you intend doing and see how fast he changes his mind. :D
