    But did you actually get him to agree prior to this that "it will be 7/12 days?". You appear to have done the woman thing of just assuming we know what you are thinking.

    Just wondering OP are your disabilites too much that you couldnt have your son on your own?

    Because If it was me i'd be tempted to book a few extra nights at the travelodge send the grumpy basturd back home with most of the stuff and enjoy a holiday with your son & just get the train home!

    It sounds to me like in his head it was always 2/3 days and in yours it was always more , maybe its just a lack of communication and you both got your wires crossed... just go for however long it is and enjoy or the whole thing will be spoiled for your son..
