Hi all, I have been to Las Vegas and had a fantastic time. I know my parents would enjoy it, BUT, my mum hates flying. I would really love her to see the Cirque Du Soleil 'O' production, she would absolutely love it!

They cruise everywhere. Does anybody know whether it is possible to find a cruise going to America they can stay in Las Vegas for a few days, then come back on either the same ship or another?

Is this possible (without any planes involved?!!!)

    Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure how they would get from the eastern seaboard to Vegas. It'd be a hell of a drive/train trip. I'd say unless they want a long road/rail commute as part of there holiday, planes is the only way.

I would say very unlikely, unless they can find a round the world cruise, even going through the Panama canal (thats a great experience tho) it would be one long trip, and then find a dock on the west coast and still a 5 hour drive to Vegas from LA

    Doesnt sound feasable to me

I am with GT if they are not going to fly I would forget it, but may be someone else has other ideas

We just returned from Las Vegas and thought I'd share some of the money saving things we found and used.

The $2.50 dollar 24hour off strip bus pass was great. We stayed off strip as I like a hotel where I can turn off the aircon and open the windows. We therefore used this pass to go to and from the strip, downtown, to the airport, to outlet malls etc. The bus from the airport to off strip hotels and downtown was great.

We also got free trips to Laughlin and Primm (via Mytravel but you need to ask the rep as they don't tell you about it), including buffet lunches. We were in Vegas for 14 days so we found these trips a nice break, as both places have shopping outlets and the air is a bit fresher.

    Hope these tips help someone.

    Hi Vfm

Thanks for those tips. Can you give me some more info on the off strip bus pass. I have used the deuce in the past for travelling up and down the strip and to downtown, but not heard of an off strip bus.

Also is there anywhere else I can find out about free trips to Laughlin and Primm as we will not have a rep to get info from.

    Thanks in advance

    Carol

Sahara, has room rates from $38 in Nov and $48 in Dec

I know its not the best but for those prices, if you are on a budget, it is well worth it.

Looking for a bit of advise. Have never been to Las vegas and as i am not a great flyer ( very nervous ) prob wont ever be again.
But have checked out the following for next may
Return Flight from Dub to JFk and then on las Vegas with the following Hotels
    Paris @ £741
    Signature @ MGM @ £763
    Planet Holywood @ £776
    and Ceasars Palace @ £780
There are a few of us going and Out of Dub seems to be the best for us. All of the above are off E - Bookers. Is it wise to book with them ? Heard a few bad reports etc
Also which would you go for as i have no idea at all.
Many thanks in advance as i always get great advise on here.
We are thinking of going 22-29 th May as it was the cheapest price.
Does anyone want to help me see if i can get the price down a bit.I have really only checked e bookers and expedia.
Or should i just book the flights and hold off booking the hotel. This is all new to me. Its just the other couple keep saying just book it as they have the money saved up for it.

sorry we didn't mean to a abandon you.

what is the price of the flight on it's own. we will be able to give reasonable estimates of hotel pricing then to see what the potential savings are
