I stayed in the Mandalay Bay in April and it was fantastic, I also been to Harahs and the Monte Carlo and the Mandalay Bay was by far the best. Wonderful views of the strip , flat screen tv in bedroom and bathroom, luxury bath and huge shower with his and her sincs and seperate toilet. the room was huge with a table and chairs and chaislong . When I go back to Vegas I will stay there again as its also got thew best beach in Vegas, excellant

virgin m+m isnt available unless you have flown with them before

Buy and/or Gift Miles cannot be used to purchase Miles Plus Money fares unless previous earning activity is evident in a member’s account

so those people being told to purchase miles in this thread...be v careful

I havent checked their t and c,s but that def was not the case earlier this year as a friend of mine took my advice and did exactly that.

I was the one (I think) who originally posted about being able to buy miles and use straight away, but if you are saying the t andc,s have changed then it may be time for a rethink

    Edit

have just checked t and c,s and I see that is the last paragraph, so maybe they have added it or maybe they overlooked it when my friend did it earlier this year, either way it does seem that you shouldnr be buying miles without having some activity in your flying club account

I flew M+M in july this year, I'd never flown Virgin before and had no problems. Maybe they have added this since then or perhaps it was there before and they aren't too fussed.

If it lets you purchase the M+M fare online I can't see them being to interested upon check-in.

It is the last paragraph in their t and c,s so maybe it has been added recently.

It may be that the thousands who read these forums have all been trying it ? whereas in the past only a handful of people used that method.

You could always ring vigin and ask before you buy them.

this is a new worring devolpment  . i have travelled with Virgin before but i,m not 100% sure i was signed up to the website when i flew.i certainly had not earned any miles before purchasing miles . i had zero problems buying miles and then purchasing a money and miles fare 3 weeks ago. it should stop you on the website if what you are doing is against their T and C,s surely.

i have my E- tickets and a booking ref ect , surely they could not chuck me off the flight when i arrive to check in after they have sold me a ticket ???? being a long time suffer of fairly bad Anxiety this has got me worked up a lot   _pale_

, if i hadn,t have known this i wouldn't have cause to now worry for the next 5 months . which i now will i,m afraid :angry:

does anyone fancy ringing them up to see if they have changed their T&C's ??? there is no date on the current T&C's and i see the web site does not advertise the money and miles fares as it used too so, maybe they have changed things but who knows ??????
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

I would seriously doubt them throwing you off. I was in the same position as yourself, no previous miles. They didn't seem interested too much in my booking "method" ie M+M when I pitched up, just checked personal details.
