The Vegas Flights are on the T Cook website but are now named TCook airlines with the same timing out of MAN, but seem more expensive.

    Hi iltisman,
Thanks for that - Im looking at flights for June/July 08 - which doesnt show Thomas Cook Airlines as yet - but Ive just done a search for a Man-Vegas November flight and I can see the new branding now. Much more expensive than they used to be AND (my nightmare) - YOU HAVE TO PAY WHOLE FARE ON BOOKING - NO OPTION OF PAYING DEPOSIT.

The June/July 08 flights & prices were available on the old MyTravel/Airtours websites - strange that they are not appearing on the Thomas Cook website.... Should have booked one for the old £150 deposit while I had the chance.... Well - I see no appeal of travelling with them now. They are NOT direct flights (pick up in Belfast) and for that price for the seat pitch and facilities they are easily beaten elsewhere. Darn it.
    Im truly stumped now.

Has anyone stayed in Mandalay Bay? We have booked the 750GR suite but i have been told they can downgrade you on check-in if they have over-booked. As we are going for christmas i would be very upset at spending it in a standard room. Can they really do that??

Also, does anyone know the name of the italian restaurant above the Fashion Show Mall?? We had a lovely dinner there last time and i'd like to go there for xmas dinner.

  • Hi all, sorry if I'm worrying about nothing, but.......................

I've booked my LV flights with mytravel, will Thomas Cook still honour this booking? or do I have to do anything?
    I've paid the £150 deposit.

I've also booked the Imperial palace for a week (love tub room) I've read good and bad reviews about this so took a gamble. If any good offers come up , I'll cancel and rebook I guess.

    ooooohhhhh exciting!!!
  • Also, after finding out most of the hotel spas charge around $200-$300 for a massage, are there any local places that charge less? We are planning to treat ourselves but i dont think i could justify paying over £100 for a 50 minute massage!

I'm not sure which spas you've looked at but those prices seem a lot higher than what I have seen when I have looked...most I've seen have been around $150 max for 50 minutes.

I think the Italian restaurant at Fashion Show Mall is Maggiano's or something like that.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

sorry for my absence everyone , i would like to thank the good people of ACER computers for it. thankyou so much for selling me your laptop that says it's hard drive is about to fail , only a month in. and thanks for now telling me the age old excuse " we are awaiting parts " , meaning i,m having to wait till the middle of next week to get my comp back                      .

anyhow i hope to get back to work here ASAP , with this borrowed dinosaur of a comp .

The Thomas cook / My Travel thing sounds a like a bit of bad news for us MS, as i guess the flights will now be sold to anyone who turns up a Thomas cook travel agent asking about Vegas ( or was that already the case???)

anyhow i advise ringing them like wdyw did and see what they can do . they will have to honor any existing bookings i,m sure.

I also will be visting the Crown and Anchor in Dec to see Villa play Sunderland i hope, by which time we should have sent the Blues closer to a the drop Zone with a derby day victory   .

Thanks for the advice about the Peppermill and MAG , i,m quite used to USA stlye portions now, I tend not to get surprised when a meal for a small family arrives as your starter :rotfl: :rotfl: . My Trouble is i try to beat the portion sometimes and make myself ill. E.G The Cheescake Factory in LV and Boston :D . The warm Apple Strudel with Ice Cream finished me off both times
