Is anyone else losing their hair?? Mine's terrible, massive handfuls every day. I'm sure it's normal but it's driving me crazy, I'm sure I'm going to be bald!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Yes it's normal and something to do with hormones. Your normal hair loss didn't happen in pregnancy, then you play catch up and lose loads afterwards!
Mine is 28" long, and I'm sick of them falling out and getting tangled round stuff. Here I go again on my own....0 -
Morning folks. Haven't been on for a few days, been having a bit of a struggle with the wee man. He's pretty much refusing to sleep at night, especially if that involves lying flat and/or being in his basket. His days are spent grunting, straining and kicking and generally being miserable, and his evenings (well, 6pm until 4am or whenever I eventually get him to sleep) are spent wailing. HV and doctor give definite 'so what?' vibes. He will, apparently, grow out of this around 3 months. So, 2+ months to go - only another 9 weeks of misery for him and sleep deprivation for me!
On the occasional break in the clouds when he's feeling cheery, he's trying to smile though -:smileyhea0 -
Thanks for your concern everyone
It's much appreciated
It was a dog we knew sadly, my mum's partner's. Jade had never done anything like this before but she was elderly and I think she just had enough of the "bald puppy" crawling around making noise.
He's fine now, just one scar on the top of his head and hasn't put him off dogs.. which is a great relief.
On another subject jenpoptab re: green poos... is little one colicy? Luca used to get them when he had it and infacol really helped to sort it out0 -
Eels, hope that you are ok and have a better day/ night.
I am trying sugared water on advice of everyone inc Gp, to try to get lil man to poo, as he is on poo strike again. Had 6 wk check yesterday, forgot red bk, Gp not too happy- I apologised, couldn't come back and get it as 10 min drive to dr's surgery! Can't do everything right, hard enough to get out door with three kids under 4, let alone get into town etc.
Girls been excellent today though, made scones and played barbie's. Hayden quite content too!WW Gold Member, trying to maintain !!!Hayden born July 07Tabitha born April 05Poppy born July 030 -
I forgot to take Natasha's red book to her 8 week check too (we have 8 week checks here). They were nice about it though.
Can't believe they were stroppy with you, I mean, you've just had a baby for goodness sake, it's not like you've nothing else to think about. I was lucky I remembered to take the baby with me, never mind the red book!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
I always have jacks red book in the changing bag, as in the past i have left it at home. Now if we need to see anyone urgently its with us.
If the sugared water doesn't work ( I am assuming we are talking constipation here?), I put jack on prune juice when he started to get bunged up on gaviscon and i really didn't want him on lactulose.
He was older than your LO, but say about 3-4 months old, he would have a 6-7 oz bottle and i'd make half an ounze of that prune juice. I'd buy a packet of dried prunes, soak them overnight and when i made up the bottles I made his last one of the day his poo juice bottle. Guaranteed a poo first thing in the morning or before 11am. I didn't buy the bottled prune juice as they need such little amounts that i'd never go through it. I also poured it into his bottle via a tea strainer as the bits would clog up the teat.
If your breastfeeding are you using bottles at all, would he take a bit of prune juice diluted with water, even half an ounze?
Hope that helps a grumpy baby is no fun.0 -

Or if baby wont take a bottle, try a cup so that he can 'lap' it. If you dont fancy using prune juice, a teaspoon of orange juice diluted in water could work too.*~*Eleventh Heaven*~*

I remembered the red book for eight week check up but was never asked for it. I don't think the GP was even aware it existed. I tried to get him to sign my surestart maternity grant form but he said he didn't know anything about it and to ask the other GP when I had my postnatal check up later that day.0

Hi guys
Hayden is breastfed and will take a bottle. I have discovered the tommee tippee bottles work great for me. I have considered all of the different juices, prune does sound best and most effective. He has still not done poo, has been at least 5 days since last one, did this when he was 10 days old too and he had growth spurt, appears to be having another growth spurt so wonder if that is what influences it.
Re: red book. I am supposed to take it back to GP for him to sign it but weather so miserable here again today that I'm unlikely to get out of the house again. It has been none stop raining since we woke up and I could here it a lot in the night too. I usually keep all three red books in change bag but last time Hayden got weighed I brought them in to compare what all three weighed at the same stage of development. Just forgot to put them back in car- must remember to do that!WW Gold Member, trying to maintain !!!Hayden born July 07Tabitha born April 05Poppy born July 030
