Hope the prune juice works, I find it very effective. Last week for the first time in ages I had to give Jack a very weak poo juice bottle and by 8.30am the following day - result.0

Holding the baby in the position shown here:

may help with poos. It's a position used for elimination communication http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elimination_communication and is a apparently natural position for pooing.0 -

There seems to be some kind of sale on baby things in Boots at the moment. I'm not quite sure of details as I sent my husband to get some things on his way to work with the coupons from the baby club so am just going on what is one the receipt. (I did ask him if there were any signs up or anything but because he was getting specific items, he didn't look around at prices.) From the receipt it seems like everything was cheaper than usual price. It also looks like they apply the coupons to the original price rather than the sale price which meant that we were effectively paid 13p to take the "free" boots organic baby food jar. Breastmilk storage bags are £6.39 instead of £7.99 and both HiPP and Boots organic baby rice are cheaper than usual.
PS Glad to hear Hayden has pooed.0 -

There's 20% off most baby items. The discount is off marked prices. Nappies are included so it's a good time to stock up!0 -
Hi guys
Hayden is breastfed and will take a bottle. I have discovered the tommee tippee bottles work great for me. I have considered all of the different juices, prune does sound best and most effective. He has still not done poo, has been at least 5 days since last one, did this when he was 10 days old too and he had growth spurt, appears to be having another growth spurt so wonder if that is what influences it.
My friend's baby used to have about one poo a week/10 days. Apparently it's perfectly normal and some babies are just like that. Poo juice sounds good though!
Just got back from a lovely few hours in the park. Imogen went on the swings (she doesn't understand about holding on tho  ) and we caught up with my mummy friends. Hope you're all enjoying the sunshine.
Thanks for all the tips and advice about sleeping. She is now much more settled and we haven't been having quite as many probs. Two nights ago when checking on her as I went to bed I found her asleep on her front with arms straight back by her sides, knees tucked under her hips and head to the side. She looked so uncomfortable I turned her over, but she was NOT impressed. Had a 10 min screaming fit before she realised it as 11pm, she was knackered and I was ignoring her! She was asleep like that again last night but I decided not to move her
She's still not rolling from front to back, and is now confused because we've dropped her cot down and she can't turn her mobile on. We've been waking up to the strains of Mozart for the last few mornings :T
She has mastered cowboys and indian noises (thanks Daddy) and flicking her lip with her fingers (not sure how to describe the sound, but do it and you'll know what I mean!). We're trying clapping, but she's not keen.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend and the weather stays beautiful. Just about to put her in the bath and then we're having a lovely BBQ just the two of us. :smileyheaMSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090 -
Lu T - we bought Ds a little swing from Argos a couple of weeks ago. It sits on our patio, and I strap him in when I hang out the washing etc - it was only £19.http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3669376.htmThe IVF worked;DS born 2006.0

Our neighbour passed one of these swings over the fence, their two had outgrown it. Its not quite as posh as that though the swing isn't padded just the moulded bucket seat. I do the same with Jack and the washing, although I need to be careful with the sun, we have hardly any shade.0
