Started blow drying Charlotte's hair with a hot air brush (less powerful than the hairdryer as it's a mega powerful salon one and she's a bit scared of it!). We were sitting on the floor and I was styling her hair with the hot air brush while she was reading a copy of Glamour magazine. What a little diva

SB if I remember rightly my niece and nephew both went back before they could go forward!! Ellie is the same in her walker!!Everyone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070 -

We also cleared all the junk out of James room, and found 4 naff bead necklaces - the sort you get in Christmas crackers. No idea why James had them, but Charlotte claimed them and she loves wandering round with her beads on
Sometimes she makes the dog wear them too :rotfl:Here I go again on my own....0 -

He is almost 10 months, and a right little piggy. I think he feeds quite so much because most of his meals are self-fed so he doesn't perhaps have as much in solids as a baby who is spoon-fed.
He has steadily gone from the 9th centile at birth to the 91st when weighed last week  No wonder I am hungry all the time...
So if Ellie is eating very well I wouldn't worry too much, but at this age they should still get most of their calories from milk, overall - is she teething, might be a temporary nursing strike?0 -

And well done Joseph, you clever little sausage! :j My DS1 walked at 10 months too, so I expected Alex to start at about that age, but here we are, 1 next week and so sign of letting go of the V-Tech :rotfl:0 -
scruffy96uk wrote: »Anyone with older babies that are still breastfeeding how often a day do they feed and when is it?
The only way I ask is because Ellie is nearly 8 months and is refusing any feeds but is still sleeping through the night!!!;)
He then went back to 3 daytime feeds for a bit, but by about 9 months he dropped them all too, and then was on just morning and bedtime BFs.
DS1 stopped daytime milk feeds at 8 months too, but he was eating a good diet of everything :rotfl: so I wasn't worried.
I'm planning to stop the morning breastfeeds tomorrow  as DS1 has started school so our mornings are very hectic. Alex is nearly 1 anyway, but I'll continue with the bedtime BFs for a bit longer. Wish me luck, I think I may have a grumpy baby tomorrow morning.

Booby problems help!! I'm BF my 12 week old (exclusively) and fr the last 3 or 4 weeks I've been having some problems, i got a blocked duct on the right side first of all and GP gave me antibiotics cos I had a temp with it, it seemed to go and then about a week later I felt my boob a bit lumpy and hard in the same place and then the other boob went the same way so I went back to GP last Monday and she said she was pretty sure it was blocked ducts again but she referred me to the breast clinic anyway, and I've got an appointment for this wednesday (what happens does anyone know?) but now both boobs are a bit painful and I think the lumps are away again but ones a bit hard in places. I keep freaking out (lumps in boobs always freaks me) but I'm trying to convince myself its simply BF related, has anyone ever had anything like this before?DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY

Yeah Joseph :j
Crawling backwards - it's cos their arms are stronger than their legs at this point, so they kind of push themselves backwards. Perfectly normal and soon corrected.
Re lumpy boobs - I had a blocked duct for weeks. Terrible pain. Have you tried feeding in a different position nadnad? Rugby-ball style is the only thing that worked for me, plus a lot of pushing (hard) from the lump towards the nipple while feeding. I used to do this in the shower too and, between all of this, it seemed to go away.
I'd expect an exam at the clinic, but not sure what else. HTH and it goes away soon xx

I agree with Lu's advice, lots of massaging in a hot shower/bath, maybe try expressing at the same time. Good luck on Wednesday (sorry no idea what's involved in a breast clinic, have never even heard of such a thing before)

you have my sympathy with blocked ducts i had 3 infections one after another and stopped feeding as i was in so much pain. i would agree with different position lying in bed and try to massage lumpy area esp in bath with hot flannel over area and something to bite on pmsl:P:P its painful at the time but i found i got a lot of relief from emptying the ducts. hope you get it sorted soon!!!
