hi, all. just a quick question to the mothers that are breast feeding when did you start expressing.
thanksAny question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

He walked!! He walked!!
Yesterday I wasn't sure as I just saw him out of the corner of my eye as he took little steps a whole two feet from my knees to the sofa. Today, on his 10 month bday, I watched him let go of the sofa and take about four steps ever so slowly to his bookcase.
I am bursting with pride. But tell me, why is everyone telling me 'now you're in for it hah hah' ?:wall:0 -
Well done Joseph! :T :T :T what a clever little boy
Is it really 10 months  where is it going...
I visited Elliot's nursery yesterday <sob> he seemed delighted with the place, and I don't want to work, I want to stay at home and rip up magazines with him. Sigh, needs must I suppose.0 -
Well Done Joseph x
Anyone with older babies that are still breastfeeding how often a day do they feed and when is it?
The only way I ask is because Ellie is nearly 8 months and is refusing any feeds but is still sleeping through the night!!!;)Everyone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070 -
Thanks SB!
Agutka, aww bless him....but yes, you will definitely need eyes in the back of your head now! :rotfl:
DD, I felt exactly the same, in fact I was in tears on my way to work the first day....but I LOVE it! I only work part time, but for a few hours a day, I get to dress up, wear a bit of make-up, talk to other adults, try to coax my poor, baby-frazzled brain into action, and feel like a grown up again. It makes me enjoy the time I have with the kids more too.
I never thought I would be saying that! :rotfl:"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Now she has four feeds (the first three the same as before and the fourth is now 6.30pm) but they are a lot shorter. (At 8 months she was feeding for about 16 hours per week but now it is around 8 hours a week.)Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Archie is fully breast fed now (we dropped the night ff when it became less than 3oz and seemed pointless) with three meals a day and has his feeds (usually) at 7/7.30, 10.30/11, lunch time (anytime from 12.30-2.30 depending on when he wants it) 4.30ish and bedtime (usually 6.30 but sometimes later). However he still feeds on demand for breast milk so it can be more or less - and yes I still get the occassional 4am wake up call!! Luckily he now uses me mainly for fluids so for most feeds takes the foremilk in quick 10 min feeds rather than the 45mins plus of old. :0)MSE PARENT CLUB MEMBER.ds1 nov 1997ds2 nov 2007:jFirst DDFirst DD born in june:beer:.0

I'm still breastfeeding Elliot mostly on demand, he feeds at around 8am, 12ish, 3ish and then 7ish - not very precise times! He usually feeds once in the night, but we're still co-sleeping so I often don't remember.DD, I felt exactly the same, in fact I was in tears on my way to work the first day....but I LOVE it! I only work part time, but for a few hours a day, I get to dress up, wear a bit of make-up, talk to other adults, try to coax my poor, baby-frazzled brain into action, and feel like a grown up again. That is very reassuring, Snaggles, and I must admit to looking forward to having a bit of responsibility and being 'important' if you know what I mean, and of course a lunch break! I am lucky too as Elliot will be going to the nursery attached to work so I can even pop down in my breaks, they have an open-door policy, and I can go and BF in my lunch break, though I might use this as a starting point for weaning - not sure how I feel about that though just yet
I suppose a lot of my apprehension is that I am going into a new position, new colleagues - I'm still bitter about my old job being done away with! But they sound like a nice bunch and my manager has told me everyone in the team has young children so they'll know what it's like.
Oh and it's only 3.5 days - and half a day I can work at home around when OH is around etc so it won't be that bad. I can leave after 3 months if it's awful and not have to pay back anything so, we'll see how it goes0 -
Well done Joseph :j You will need eyes in the back of your head. I was getting dressed this morning and Charlotte took a hairbrush off my dressing table. I thought there was no harm in that, but then she swopped it for a lipstick in the seconds it took me to put my top over my head! Thankfully she didn't manage to get the top off before I realised.
I like going to work as I can have a wee all by myself with no dogs or children coming in
Started blow drying Charlotte's hair with a hot air brush (less powerful than the hairdryer as it's a mega powerful salon one and she's a bit scared of it!). We were sitting on the floor and I was styling her hair with the hot air brush while she was reading a copy of Glamour magazine. What a little divaHere I go again on my own....0 -
Way to go, Joseph! :j
Poppy has now mastered the art of crawling - but backwards!?:rotfl:. I'm hoping this is normal!
. She also bum shuffles to get where she wants to be as well as of course roly polying
.
Becles, I think you should enrol Charlotte now for Britain's Next Top Model!:rotfl:
