Still waiting to hear about the appointment to have the tooth out as I've been referred elsewhere to have it out under sedation.
They can't do anything with it at the minute as the infection is still there. I'm still on the antibiotics and they finish on Sunday.
If the infection settles this time, I tempted to ask him to try and take it out without sedation just to get rid of the thing. Can't afford to keep taking time off work with it as I don't get sick pay. Here I go again on my own....0 -
Oh dear Becles, sorry to hear about your husband's knee. That's the sort of thing I have nightmares about as mine is a s/e gardener. Hope the tooth can be dealt with soon - why is it that dentists never give enough antibiotics?Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Speaking of nappies, I have two packs of unopened Pampers in a small size and I have heard time and time again that you can take them back to exchange for larger size. However I asked my local tesco about this and they helpfully said I can do it with a receipt . Thank you, that I knew, but what about nappies I bought last summer? Help! A tenner is always a tenner.:wall:0

Agutka, my SIL has today swapped nappies at Boots without a receipt and no questions asked.

I have a packet of unopened nappies (pampers newborn) too but can't remember where they came from - does that mean they will take them off my hands? (provided they still sell that type I suppose).
Oh good luck with the ttc btw - made me smile as I am still to rediscover the joys of sleeping in my own bed for a whole night - don't think I'd be at that stage too soon (even if dh hadn't threatened to joint the foreign legion if I even think pink {try for a girl that is lol:D }).
Sorry to hear about your husbands knee becles - hope you both get better soon.MSE PARENT CLUB MEMBER.ds1 nov 1997ds2 nov 2007:jFirst DDFirst DD born in june:beer:.0 -
Charlotte always has a roll around the floor in the nude for 10 minutes before she goes in the bath on an evening. She was rolling around last night, and she kept doing really loud pumps and then cracking up laughing at them. Sadly that game had to end when the last one wasn't just a pump....... :rotfl:
Hadn't read through the pages of this thread properly for a while and this post just cracked me up! :rotfl:
Becles - hope things are better with you and your OH (and the general household stuff)
Bailey - best wishes. Sounds like you're having a really tough time.Hope your OH is doing his bit for you and the kids. xx

I've taken wrong size Huggies nappies bought from Tescos online back to my local Waitrose who changed them for me no problem.
Waitrose even exchanged a tin of first stage formula for second stage when hubby bought the wrong one, no receipt then either. They said that they would have to destroy the tin I returned as they are not allowed to sell returns in case of tampering. But they were very helpful and nice about it.
So if you've got a Waitrose near you...0 -
Things looking a bit more positive at home. Rather than just having all these mad thoughts running through my head, I've written down everything that is bothering me. It doesn't look as frightening on paper, and easier to break things up into chunks to tackle.
I'm going to start "blogging" which might help me make sense of things and keep me motivated. At the minute I get up and have plans for the day, and then I feel down and just end up faffing around doing nothing all day, then come the evening, I hate myself for wasting a day.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend. We're going out for a family mystery shop meal tomorrow. It'll be nice all spending time together and it's free too! Here I go again on my own....0
