We'll let you know how we get on with the elvate cot - although 1 question how do you elevate it slightly?
Mazcabs - every time Alice has gone off routine for more than a day it's turned out she had a cold.0 -
Hope the babies with colds are feeling a bit better now. It's awful when they are suffering and you can't do anything.
I've used Olbas Oil with Charlotte. I just put a drop on the chest bit of her sleeping bag, so the vapours waft up her nose! Also have a look for Medised medicine. It's got something in it that helps them sleep as well as paracetamol, so it works better than Calpol. Check the ages for both though as I can't remember what they are.
Here's a video of my dancing queen

What a cutie! Haven't tried my baby in his door bouncer for a while. (He didn't like it the first time.) Might have to get it out tomorrow now!
On a totally different topic....balls! Anybody know anything about 'retractile testicles'?I'd google for more info but I don't really want to type 'boys testicles' into a search engine!
Basically, my five year old's balls don't always stay in his sac. Sometimes he's got one, two or even none in there! When he had his very first check as a baby at the 6 week appt, the dr wrote that he hadn't felt his testes and that they may be retractile. He said that they should stay fixed after a certain age and it wasn't a problem. I'm not sure what age they are supposed to fix though?
My son's got his reception medical in a few week's and I'm going to bring it up with the school nurse but just wondered if anybody on here had come across this before?0 -
I second the Children's Olbas Oil (it says for 3 months and over thou). I put a few drops on a piece of kitchen roll and hang it at the end of her cib. We are all suffering with colds - blame DH as he had it first! Not as bad as xmas thou, thankfully!
Becles, how cute is your daughter!!! Bless her, having the time of her life!
Hope all is going well for Bailey.

my son had same problem
make sure you bring it up.... as it can lead to low sperm counts (later in life it will effect him) my son went in for operation to fix it......bloody thing came down after the doctor had a feel and helped it on its way.....spent loads on blowing up chair/special pants and trs :rotfl:0 -

:rotfl: but how about netdoctor.co.uk or another medical site, have you tried to search there?
I don't know anything about this myself I'm afraid (although as a mum to two boys I have learnt a lot about male bits!  ) but hope you can find some info. Good luck0 -
We haven't got one of those door bouncers but am now considering getting one
