Actually, now that she's being weaned, it's sometimes better not to sniff! :rotfl:

Iz does kisses with an open mouth, tongue out and lots of dribble usually.

    Still love em though ;)

I agree with that! Charlotte loves banana but I can't stand them and the smell makes me feel nauseous. I have to feed them to her at arms length :o

Talking of baby food/weaning.....I had forgotten what a shock to the system a baby's first 'weaned poo' is (sorry :o)!! Natasha is starting to eat more, and apparently it has now made it's way through her system and out the other end, and  it's not pleasant! I suppose it's too late to go back to milk only? :rotfl:

Some of Charlottes nappies really stink now! It seems to be worse when she's had green veg, especially cabbage.

The dog stinks today as well, as he pinched some jalapeno peppers last night and ate them

I've put my baby in a cot in his own room for the first time tonight! :o

We've been co-sleeping since birth as I'm breastfeeding and he didn't settle in his moses basket. He's sleeping for longer now - he went from 10pm to 5am last night- so I'm trying him in his own room to see how he gets on!

I've already had to check on him twice to make sure he's okay! :o My OH is away tonight so it'll be really strange to have the whole bed to myself. Bet I won't be able to sleep!

Good luck, Jo - I'm sure he'll be fine. :) I was thinking of putting Alex in his cot at the weekend, mainly because he hardly fits in the basket these days, so I thought he'd be more comfortable. I wish he did 10-5 though - no chance! (We've had an 8-3 once, but last night he was up 4 times!!! Hope it's just a growth spurt :o )

It's funny, his brother was in his own room and cot at about 5 weeks, but I've wanted to keep Alex in our room as long as possible. I've got a feeling he'll be babied for a long time... :o

On a totally different subject, does anyone know anything about hand, foot and mouth? We're supposed to be visiting the in-laws at the weekend, but I've just found out my little niece might have it. Isn't it quite contagious? I don't want my boys to get it...
  • Hi,

Hand, foot and mouth is contagious. My son had it but apart from lumps on his tongue he was ok, the kid he caught it off and another one of that got it both had it really bad and couldn't eat or swallow properly. I would think that it's best to stay away until your niece is better.
    now mum of 4!!!
