We've got everything done now having had an offer accepted end of November. Just waiting for 4 enquiries, which the seller's solicitor seems to be sitting on. Apparently 2 need to be done through the housing association so we are waiting on that - anyone know if its ok to chase the HA, we can't wait much longer as have to be out of our rented flat by 15th Feb0

helping_hubby, we considered Habitus, but we ended up finding a cheaper local firm and decided that local was better. Funnily enough, Habitus rang back to see who we decided to go with, and were (unnecessarily) nasty about "hoping we get a good survey then, because they're not all the same". That has put me off ever using them in the future, hmmmfff.Don't see the point anymore in offering advice to people who only want to be agreed with...0

Thanks WG - I was too stressed to go into work today but am trying to focus on getting the house ready at the moment - keeping busy is the way to go I think. Glad yours all sorted now. Will try and post tomorrow either way.....Addicted to Facebook0

Hey all, just checking on how everyone's going! Congrats to Wigglygiggly, Poppycat and Jewel!!
Our seller's solicitor was supposed to have gotten the last 3 signatures required before they can send out an Offer of Sale to us yesterday (post #262 has the story in full). My solicitor said she'd be in touch as soon as they had received that offer, but i emailed her yesterday and asked her to phone the seller's solicitors today to make sure they have really got the last signatures, and to ask for a date. So.... fingers crossed by the end of today we'll be on our way and have a date!
I packed 10 boxes in Oct/Nov and went no further, but hoping it'll only be another couple of weeks now, so do you guys think i should tempt fate and start packing more?!?!:j Ready to take control of my life! :j

Hi everyone new to this thread and am just about at my wits end with all this buying and selling
have a bid on a house at present BUT it isnt a straight foward it is part of a divorce settlement and from all accounts the man is being childish in my view so far this week the estate agents have sent 8 letters left 10 messages and still cant get in contact with him so in the mean time the ex wants to close EAs still taking viewing although every time we ring all we get "have a feeling they want to tie this up " menwhile bids are going up im losing patience metal health going down HELPPPPPP!
Will there be an end in sight0 -
Had the survey done today. Left a message yesterday asking the surveyor to call afterwards and give us a clue (ie no worries/some slight issues/some potential timebombs/OMG the place is falling down) but he didn't call. Oh well, maybe no news is good new, right?
:undecided
