  • Woo hoo! Well done Jewel - its such a relief isn't it???

We are surrounded by boxes, and have loads to pack still but we have two weeks yet til we move in. Just writing letters now to tell people of change of address now.
  • Can I jump on the thread please :D Me and DH found a lovely house (which is empty)and are part ex-ing it with the developer to save some hassles. The ball is rolling and we have are in the process of getting our mortage application sent off and have had an agreement in principal and have also got our solicitor. Im praying, as we all are that everything goes smoothly and we can be in the new house in 6 weeks . In the mean time I feel constantly ill and Im totally cacking my pants its all going to go horribly wrong :rotfl:

I'd like to join the thread: we offered on a property just before Christmas (bad timing, as everything ground to a complete stop for 2 nervous weeks), got the draft contract and searches results through today, survey is Friday (was slightly surprised that solicitor had gone ahead with searches before the survey but then we didn't tell him not to - a lesson learnt for the future)...so fingers crossed that we will be exchanging soon (although I really don't have a clue how much longer). It's only us-and-them in the "chain", so hopefully not too long. Won't be actually moving for a while though, as part of the deal was giving the vendors a bit of space between exchange and completion (fair enough, we thought, as they are emigrating).

    Now, where's that fingers-crossed smilie?...
Don't see the point anymore in offering advice to people who only want to be agreed with...
