Well, despite all the problems and setbacks last week we DID manage to COMPLETE on friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :j :j :j

Our mortgage company released the money at 10am on the move day, our sol received it at 10.50 and we exchanged at 11. All this time we had removals men loading our van! I had the keys to our new house by 3.10 Friday afternoon. Lots of stress but it was all worth it!

Good luck to everyone moving soon. Am offline at home right now so this is just a quick message from work.

    Hold your horses MJ mum.

You're right, of course - I'm over the shock now  We will see what next week brings, when we have the report in our hands.

Meanwhile, just heard that the mortgage offer is in the post, so things are still moving forward.
Don't see the point anymore in offering advice to people who only want to be agreed with...

Well done to everyone who has exchanged/completed. I wonder why it took the Estate Agent 4 and half hours to release the keys after the money was sent through on Vickicb completion? Is this normal?

Our survey has come back, mortgage given all clear. Our buyer has arranged survey on our house for next week and his mortgage is going through, keeping everything crossed at the moment. It is so close to the deal I can almost smell i/......

  • Just read your post Madjock - I am viewing a nice looking barratts part ex on Sat - what probs did you experience? They have already told me they are not estate agents and don't provide details which sent alarm bells ringing. How were they in negotiations over price?

Last day in my old house of 17 years and 2 months.

Almost finished packaging. Just the kids pc's to do, and my old one I am using. Bunk beds to dismantle tonight, our bed as well so we will all sleep on the matresses.

Another trip to the tip and charity shop.

Think I am coming down with cold, typical. I also ache all over and my back is starting to play up so I will have to take it easy otherwise it could get worse
