well that sounds promising. good to know things are moving again. i amm glad the decided to pay the full cost - Just right!

good result on getting the fees waived.

DKNY- i too will be ringing the solictor tommorrow for a update and to find out exactly what is going to happen on friday.

the people we are buying the house from apparently moved out last sunday so i guess there is nothing to stop us getting the keys first thing so that we can get our keys to our first time buyer. i guess i better get cracking on the packing tonight. no excuses.
  • Thats great news Poppycat!!! The end is nigh!!! Same for you Jammin, not long to go!!!

Saw another school today and now I don't know which one to choose - both lovely, both asme education standards and both same distance!!! Hmmm

No news from solicitors, I am waiting for her to call me back so I can have some updates. She is meant to be chasing the correct F & F list but I think we are going to have real problems with our sellers. Local searches are back, waiting for others to come in. Feels like there isn't much more I can do - don't want to pack anymore, just in case. This house is filling up nicely with new furniture so its getting a bit squishy now!!!

Thanks for your support and words of encouragement

Yes buying and selling is stressful and at times too stressful, good to hear others doing well it spurs you on, looking forward to that final day, but there will be tears when we move 17 years of my life at this address, brought up two kids to almost adult hood. Most of the time its been happy times here, so bad times outside the house, work etc, but them times have now fortunately gone.

So where's Lynz? I think she's has been at moving longer than I, feels like a life time for her.

    Im here

Sorry been all over the shop today, finishing with a cuppa over at my mates where Ive left my mobile  so have to go back out Im completely frantic at the mo

    Right. heres the update.

I called my sol this am and her secretary tells me that ( remember the 170 I had to pay for the management report?) well turns out this compnay doesnt manage the flat at all ( I could, and DID tell people this before Xmas) however, the co has now confirmed they only manage half the block- as the housing assoc manage my side ( as discussed infinitum)

So Ive rang the EA who has rang the buyer to tell him that his sol has got it wrong and Im ready to exchange. Hes gonna call his sol asap to get things moving.

im runnig out the door to get my phone right now.

Exhausted, flustered, knackered- but hopeful x

Good luck to those still in limbo
    moved on 2nd feb07:beer:
  • Sounds like you are almost there Lynz! Good luck for Friday Jewel too :)

Well the solicitor rang me back and told me she is still waiting for the F & F list (I have a feeling this will be our only delay) but she is sending out the report tomorrow for us to sign (what does the report mean? Whats in it? I was in a rush so couldn't ask lol) then we are nearly there. We are exchanging and completing on the same day - don't think our seller is going to be happy. Oh well.

    Hi Lynz,

We can complete tomm depending on sol, we are not in a chain so completion whenever isnt a problem if not definately as planned it will be friday, will pop in to ask if they wanna complete tomm , we dont hand keys to our LL for another 2 weeks so thats not a prob at all, also removal firm got a few friends who can do this cheaper and again it wont be needed till next week as its not through a firm just family and friends, As for packing where shall i begin lol havent started that one yet but i better . been collecting boxes for months but they are still flat packed lol..

is yours going ok so far??

    Good luck :)
