Got my money back today. Google Checkout refunded it back. No need to worry about filling out bank claims. Very pleased. Hope everyone else is getting on ok. :)

I suspect you are right that Halibut2209 is the scammer as he did his best to pour scorn onto peoples' threads saying it was a scam. Then came the sarcastic "curiouser and curiouser" and he even thanked Grrrr2011 for saying he was the scammer.

    Hi,

halibut2209 is a long time and very helpful member of this board. His comments with regard to the way this thread started are not unreasonable - I watched this one very closely myself because I too was unsure if it was genuine or not at first.

It's very unusual for a thread to start like this one did, honest :) - which is why some members queried it.

And remember, when it became obvious this was a real scam, Halibut made a full apology, not many bother on here.
  • Google has refunded my money, THANK YOU GOOGLE!!!!
There has been some worries in this forum about Google but they seem to be coming up trumps.
I wonder if we will know the final outcome of this and how many people Ebuy4u caught and for how much.
After this saga, and a further saga we now have a fridge freezer that most of the time sounds like a howling gale on the top of Snowdon, it's name ends with oo. Is it true that they get quieter?

Our experience with our Samsung American-style fridge freezer was that when the gale stopped we were in deep trouble - the circulating fan had become encased in a block of ice. Endemic fault in Samsungs and the subject of threads elsewhere.
(sorry, realise I'm now posting in the wrong place - but then I am one of those pesky and untrusted newbies!)
  • Ordered a Sony home cinema system - same story as all above. Goy refund from Google

He certainly did so not sure why some are still raising his initial concerns. Apologises on this site when someone is wrong is a very rare occurrence so give him a break.
Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.
  • I also got the refund e-mail this morning, took a while but it came. Is anyone still waiting?
