urgent...check ur bank TRAVELODGE taking payments twice!!!

    9th June, that was the last Travelodge Sale date wasnt it?

    This looks as if it could effect a large amount of people :(
  • I paid for my hotel on 9th June, and the money has come out of my account again today. It cost me 90pence to get through to Travelodge, who assured me that the money would be back in my account by 24 hours. So mad, as there is not enough in my account to cover direct debits that are due to be paid tomorrow!

    Just called Travel Lodge. The man said that HSBC, their bank, have realised their error and the money is going back into accounts/credit cards tomorrow.

    They seem to be a bit inconsistent with their explanations.

    My booking was made on the 9th june, money left my acc on 11th june, another £51 taken today!
    Should i leave it and hope it gets refunded or call the bank / travelodge?
    i now have an unpaid direct debit that should have gone out today so i will be charged £25,:mad:

    I noticed this in my account at about 9pm last night... so angry :(

    not what we need travel lodge! Luckily I am fine for direct debits but this is just not on! I hope no-one faces bank charges because of their mistakes!

    You would honestly think that they couldn't just take extra money from your bank account!

    Just phone HSBC Directly. My money is back in my account after a call I made 30 minutes ago.

    I've just rang Tesco my credit card, as i booked 3 rooms in the june sale.

    But no money has been taken out of my account today, the lad even saw the payment made on the 9th June.
  • If you want to contact Travelodge, use this number:01844 358500.
    Otherwise you will pay 10p a minute for their premium number.
    I was told that they will automatically refund everyone by either Friday or Monday.
    Hopefully this will happen, but check your bank account.
    What a hastle!
    I normally use Premier Inn and the first time I use Travelodge, this happens..

    Santander / Alliance and leicester want written confirmation from travelodge to confirm a duplicate payment was made!
    Just have to wait and hope travelodge refund the money
  • Grrrr ... I need to withdraw money today to pay someone in cash and now I don't have enough money. Travelodge assured me that any charges incurred will be paid by HSBC but what about pure inconvenience!!!!!
    I seldom end up where I wanted to go, but almost always end up where I need to be
