Same happened to me this morning, total of £30 taken again, which led to me being over drawn. Called 08719848484 didnt take any details from me but assured me that this has happened all morning since they have opened and the money has already been put back into my bank but will take 24hours, NO SORRY though!!!0

I have noticed this this morning when checking my bank account - just on the phone to the bank and the agent said he had already had another call about this too.
Is it worth ringing travelodge?0 -
Hello, I don't usually post but so cross thought it best. I telephoned Travelodge head office about 2 duplicated payments taken this morning -
01844 358500 - told it was a banking error by my bank, refund initiated but could be Monday. Telephoned my bank, operator patiently explained error all Travelodge's, bank cannot re-take debit card payments. hope it helps someone0 -
This has happened to me tooo
I thought it may have been because of the card declined thing but now that others have mentioned I presume it is the money been taken twice from the last sale!!
I just posted this over in the main topic:
Just spoke on the phone to a lady from Travelodge regarding the money being taken from my account TWICE and not ONE booking going though (the card has been declined both times?)
Apparently you cant discuss "Customer Service" enquiries over the phone it has to be done via email which is great customer service, Not!
Ive emailed travelodge several times in the past and alls I ever get is a load of F.A.Q pasted onto a reply. I hope that they can sort this out as it means I have not only missed out on the sale room but have also lost £20 for a week or so til they refund me arghh!0 -
Might it be helpful if people added the dates they stayed/booked so that we can perhaps establish a timeframe? No point everyone worrying and bombarding t'lodge if it doesn't apply to them.It aint over til I've done singing....0

I booked in the last sale and my bookings are for 24th July and the 27th July. I dont really know who it will effect because the time scale seems to go from bookings for straight after the sale til at least 27 July?
Also just to point out, the money HAS actually been taken from my account, there showing up on my online banking statment, two £10 payments from Travelodge Website.0 -
Thanks for this OP.
Justs checked my on line bank account. I have been charged ALL the amouts for my 3 bookings from last sale AGAIN, total £40, but can't see any charge for the 2 booking I made earlier today, total £100. Yet on 'my travelodge' I have confirmation numbers for the new bookings! Oh well, they can leave it as those payments if they want, I can print my confirmations and it saves me £60,I doubt it though:o.
I won't be happy now though if they take the £100 before refunding the £40. Will leave things a few hours to see what becomes of the payments situation and watch on here for info updates.
Travelodge have really screwed this one up!!!!:(0 -
I just had the same thing on my account for £19.50 for a booking I made on 9th June and paid for on the 10th.
I rang HSBC and they have refunded the money and put in a dispute to travelodge. I'm glad it's not just me! I thought my bank account had been hacked.0 -
I was informed it was paymentss made only on the 9th June - I have emailed, but writing to the CEO to vent anger!0
