Any money reclaimed back will be offset against any debt that is outstanding, so it will go to the debt collection agency to reduce the debt,

Got my statements today, so i'll sort out letters over the weekend. It seems strange that they can get them to me in 1 day if they really put their minds to it.

It just seems that everything that Egg are doing is annoying me. Their e- messaging system results in snotty replies from staff, and trying to get through to a human on the phone, is like 'role a 6 to start' time. The new voice recognition system is the worst excuse for an upgrade I have ever known. It doesn't recognise anything and just wants me to repeat everything over, and over, and over again. The staff seem to have no issues with my accent when I eventually get through to someone. I can't beleive they waste the profit they make on this rubbish (or my charges for that matter)

  • Hi eveyone, I am in need of some answers/advice to my questions (please help!!) here goes.

    1. I am making a claim against Egg, for my credit car, are there any different rules etc for credit card claiming?

    2. Everyone seems to be talking of claiming for charges of around £30 or more charge's for late payment/overlimit penalties. What if (as in my case) for the past year, at least, these charges have dropped to £15 (again my case) can I still claim for these charges too?

    3. On my statement there are high (approx £30-50 per month) of charges for "Merchandising interest at 1.240% Can I claim for these, my hunch is no??

    4. Should I opt to include the interest charges when calculating my claim, my hunch is yes!?

    5. Has anyone got any information regarding claims simliar to mine, preferabley with Egg, but other credit cards too?

Im sure you've all heard these Q's a hundred times before but we all in same boat and I would really appreciate any advice/help on offer,

    Cheers.

They will most likely offer the difference between the OFT £12 and the amount you were actually charged and the FO will offer this too. If you are claiming via the courts then you can claim the whole amount back including the interest should you win.

Yes be sure to include the interest !!

I am also claiming from Egg, I've sent 2 letters and they've not responded to either so I'm ready to file my claim at court now !!

    Hope this helps,
