    .
I never burn myself ironing...oh I got a bad scar on my hand at school ironing, but that's it. Now, the cooker on the other hand....my shelves run very easily and often fall out when I'm lifting stuff out...and I never can resist the temptation to try and stop them coming out against my arms

Luckily I don't scar very easily.

I used to iron watching F1, and on numerous occaisions (sp?) tried to iron my left arm. Now I let the OH do the ironing, it's less painful.
I got hot wax on my fingers from removing the candles from DS's birthday cake :eek: Why oh why would anyone want that sort of thing poured on their flesh is beyond me

No, nor me. Cold wax is bad enough:D.
what does the T stand for?

I really don't think you want to know, given the turn this thread has taken;).
Good enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j

If all else fails, remember, keep calm and hug a spaniel!

I used to have a whip but I don't know where it is now. Haven't seen it for years. Perhaps I gave it to the church jumple sale by mistake.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

The vicar probably nicked it for himself, you know what that lot are like

  • Mine used to be really bad. All of his workshirts are white so he would just put them in with a white wash, and then when it was done, he would just take his shirts out and leave the rest of it in to fester. I find it a lot easier to just do it myself.

OH's trick is not to take those little stiffening things out of his shirts, and then they clog up the drain on the washing machine. Drives me mad!

Has he got a brother? :rotfl:

He has indeed - single, aged 26, but doing post-grad medicine at Oxford, so I doubt he ever irons anything (-:

My Oh does all the ironing as well, and no, he doesn't have a brother. Yes, I know I am blessed:D.

When my Granny found out OH irons, she said, "Hang on to that one, girl!"

You need some of those Aga oven gloves - they come up to your elbows. Great things.

It's like an addiction I suppose. We both know it is wrong and will ultimately end up with someone getting hurt, but at the time it feels so good that we don't think about these things. It's very selfish I know.

You are being selfish, yes. You are choosing to do it, knowing it's the wrong thing to do, and not giving a damn.
