It is adultery, that is the correct term for the situation.

There are no mitigating factors, only excuses. If you can walk out when you find someone new, you can walk out before that. No matter how many shades of grey you try to paint it's a very black and white situation.

Yes but an archaic term for those living in the past. You just try to line this with emotion. I don't accept it, my response is two fingers to you, and I carry on my merry way. What are you going to do about it?

I understand that people have strong views either way (and some in the middle), but opinions can be expressed without resorting to the 'judgemental' yes 'judgemental' attitude that does come across from some posters.

What I dislike about the judgemental accusation is that it tries to turn the blame around onto the other person.

I think it is wrong to skin baby seals alive, am I judgemental? I think genocide is wrong, am I judgemental? I think burglary is wrong, does that make me judgemental? Yet believing it is wrong to collude in somebody else cheating on their spouse somehow makes someone judgemental? It's called having an opinion which everybody seems to be in agreement we're all entitled to do.

How can I respond that it was not directed at him/her if I am on his/her ignore list?

I think most people on here are in total agreement that it is wrong. But some posts have gone a step further than that.

Nickyhutch herself has said it was wrong.

And in my opinion ,as I said, opinions can be aired without resorting to
such venom as has been shown by some.

It's not archaic, it's factual. Does the term annoy you because it outlines the actions of that person. Maybe we shouldn't call rapists by that term, or murders, or muggers as it may offend them!

I honestly couldn't give a toss what you do with your fingers.

It annoys me that it is a preamble to a dictatorial tirade. Not helpful, appropriate or constructive.
