I think I have answered previously that I dont value your views much anymore as is your right, guess it is only those you agree with you value... its quite obvious to me that you rather relish sitting on your high horse high horse..oh for gods sake, just because I said this was not something worth reading about it a daily rag.. judging everyone else hardly. im not really interested in what your views are in what the papers would be interested in and if I was I would ask for them which is why my reply was NOT TO YOU but you choose to take it as such. Im also not very interested in your views about why I should allow myself to be pursued by debt collecters , get defaults against my name and risk a day in court and my job. If you cant say where this water is going then what makes you think a judge would back me. because I Might just have a better idea about how these things work then you which is why in my second post I told you what you needed to do and how and you have now confirmed that I was right and that OFWAT told you to deal with the water company through their process

as for 'getting my panties in a bunch'... I have no idea how you entertain yourself in the evenings but I dont where wear...sorry that was childish panties rather favouring some rather natty boxers shorts.

I didnt start this arguement what arguement ? you did with assuming that fear or reprisal is the same as throwing money around with gay abandon.... for your intrest I cant afford it either you clearly could cos you did. All I said was I could not pay that amount even if it was that or jail. but have done so by sacrificing savings , not having familly holidays oh the horror , I aint managed one of those for 8 years and neither have thousands of people and even a honeymoon due to my high monthly outgoings. nope never had one of those either.

I assume I have answered most questions. NOPE..but for those who wish to help and not just get their !!! kisssded for deigning to bless us with their views on newspapers etc........

just to re-affirm..You never confirmed them to begin with.

    1. the meter is on the pavement outside the property

    2. its mechanical again..WHAT MAKE

    3. the flow meter installed was installed firstly for 2 weeks...showing average consumption then for 1 month and showed average consumption except for a period of 12 hrs (E&S confirmed it was not 24hrs to me today) when 14000 lts went through the meter. Thats 250 odd gallons an hour....

    4. I have complained constantly to the company and been passed from pillar to post. the only way I got the flow meter fitted was by grabbing the guy who came to read the meter last time and pleading with him. I have written to ofwat 20months ago and they stated they would not launch an enq until the water company had completed their investigation. Their investigation consisted of passing me from one dpt to another to get the same advice of 'check for leaks'...'monitor the meter'..etc.....they have not completed the investigation to this date.

Have you complained in writing yet ? As a CROSS complaint ?

I dont know if you can get the meter removed. NO, they are not removed unless faultyI did say to them that if you cannot be sure it is just measuring my consumption then surely the default position is removing it and returning the house to rates. Not possible, the RV is no longer legal.. when I asked they went quiet and moved on to something else. I know you cant just demand removal of the meter to save money but I dont know what the leagl position is regarding a dispute over accurate measuring of consumption... and as I say they werent very forthcoming with an answer. Does anyone know?

I'll give you this for free even though my view counts for nothing and you don't need it.

you will never get the meter removed but you could ask for assessed charges.

Now I am guessing that because that came from me who knows nothing you will pass it by and move on but if you are on a joint supply that is the only option and you NEED to write as a complaint cos you still have not confirmed if you have done that or not.
Calls DO NOT count as they are not recorded in the same way with OFWAT .

for the last time what the F*%k difference does it make..the water meter is working ...working ...working ...working...ok...got it let me say it again the water meter is working... the flow meter confirmed that.. I agree with that.. the company agree with THAT!.........I dont care if F*&King NASA made it... ITS WORKING....

THATS NOT THE PROBLEM.. THE 14000 LTS IN 12HRS IS THE F*&KIN PROBLEM... FINDING OUT WHO MADE THE WATER METER IS EXACTLY THE TYPE OF RUBBISH THATS BEEN WASTING FOUR YEARS OF MY LIFE.

Have you complained in writing yet ? As a CROSS complaint ?

I did complain in writing... and was told 'until the company have completed their investigations they would do nothing'...ok.... thats why I was kinda happy that they were going to send a letter stating that the investigation was over so that I could go back to ofwat.............

you havent had a holiday or a honeymoon... ok very sad.. but unlike you I have not just taken the P*ss out of you because you haven't.... why does the fact that you havnt enjoyed a vacation make it right for the water company to stop me.... You couldn't afford to pay even if threatened with jail.... again very sad.. whys that mean its wrong for me to keep paying to avoid losing my job and have you carp about it or label me as some moron for trying to do that......Im not prepared to risk my families home on some sort of crusade until I have the facts..........

finlander, don't stress over it. Ther eis an ignore function if you do not want to read someones posts, use if you are getting that stressed over it, just focus on the posts you want to - you have enough stress as it is.

I am glad to hear they have suspende dyour account, I am pretty sure they would not do that unless they knew something was up. So that is a positive.

Just don't get more stressed over it than you need to, it's not worth it, just ignore any post you don't want to answer.

I can understand how frustrating it is and why it has taken so long because it does not happen all the time. It is a shame that you cannot get your money back for the last 4 years but the money has gone, get it sorted for when bubba fin arrives and it'll be one less thing to worry about.

I did complain in writing AS A CROSS COMPLAINT ?... and was told 'until the company have completed their investigations they would do nothing'...ok that might be what you were told but that is not the case with a cross complaint.... thats why I was kinda happy that they were going to send a letter stating that the investigation was over so that I could go back to ofwat.............

Whatever..Honestly you are getting bent out of shape for no reason. I was trying to help but it aint worth it...Stick me on ignore and move on.

Although if you are still reading this it might be worth mentioning that Blue monkey might well not be right..You might be able to get something back depending on the problem and you need to ask for assessed now before it gets worse..Although why I am bothering god only knows.

I never once said it was right or fair I just said it happens..You really do need to stop reading between the lines.

Anyway I wish you the best and hope you get it sorted.

Have you started taking your own readings and turning your water off if it is whizzing round?
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

Mights sound like a silly idea but if your ground where all the water pipes are buried is soft, you could try digging it up to see if there are subpipes stuck to them that is drawing water to other propertys.

I think the issue the OP has is that it only happens every now and then so he could be checking it for months before it happens.

OP, while all of this is going on I'd think that it is worth reocrding it each day, morning and night, and if you find it whizzing call the water people right away and see if they will come out as an emergency.

The man who works for the water company said they only go back 13 months (on page 3) so this is why I said the money is gone.

I did not realise bubba fin was already here, thought you said she was on her way. Enjoy her while she is little - they grow up, go to school and start chatting back. Happens in the blink of an eye. :D
