The cheque and breakdown arrives at the same time.

Not from my experience it didn't. I received the initial goodwill intention letter on the 15th of June and today received their offer, which enclosed an acceptance form, that needs signing & dating and returning, before any monies are paid.

Its sad that barclays are not dealing with these in order, when i spoke to them last week I was told that they are not expediting any cases where people are emailing the ceo as to be fair to everyone else but the fairest they they could have done is put them in date order at the start and work through.

My claim has gone via Gladstone Brooks and I;ve not heard nowt for 4 weeks

thing is though, even though I was mis-sold PPI (unemployment) back in 2008 I had to claim back March.

Should I still be entitled to claim PPI for the period of June 08 - March 2011

I am still waiting to hear from Barclays, but not as long as you have.

I know the interest will be more the longer we have to wait, but it would be great to have some idea of the amount being refunded. They had better start getting a move on as halfway through the month already. Only a couple of weeks of August left.

I have had a letter from Barclays today which is the first I have heard since the original goodwill letter.

Basically all it says is that they are still working to the timescales stated in the original letter (in my case 31 August) and that they are overrun at the moment with people phoning them asking for updates. It goes on to say that for anyone phoning they will not (in bold on the letter) be able to answer questions on the progression of payments/offers.

Good news I suppose is that they are still working to have everything sorted for the original dates.

Thanks for that, did it say anything about payments being made by the 31st Aug or just working on offer letters sent out by then. I like many other started my claim last Oct and have only had the goodwill letter in June. Other posters have said that they have a further 6-8 weeks to make the payment, once they have had your offer letter back. Any mention of this?

I am another who put a claim in sept/oct 2011.
Had a letter from FOS 6/7 weeks ago saying Firstplus will settle but as of today still waiting. Tried ringing Firstplus but was hung up on 3 times.
