  • Well its not working, i've tried everything except buy a bigger litter tray.

does anyone think that might be worth trying?

  • Have you moved the position of the tray, or is it too close to his food maybe?

Or has anything changed in your household - stress can upset house training?

  • Nothing has been changed, the tray is on the opposite side of the room to his food, he used to use it fine, he's a 2 year old cat.

  • I have to use 2 types of litter for my cat, the woodchip on the bottom & the Tesco cheapy on top, & it has to be changed every other day or he does it on the floor in protest. Bloody spoilt moggy!!! but we love him :D the great big furry ginger lump! :D

  • And even if he does use the tray he doesnt cover up his poop!!

I change the litter every other day too.

I'm getting a Sphinx kitten soon and am wondering what is the best cat litter to use, I've always used clay litter but it's not suitable for a sphinx apparently because of the lack of fur.
I'm looked at cat litter online but everywhere seems to charge an arm and a leg to deliver the stuff, because of the weight. :(
I've heard about using poultry feed as litter, I wonder if this is any good and if it'd mask the smell?
Can anyone recommend a good but economical cat litter please?
    Thankyou :)

Keep your newspapers and put them through a shedder...works wonders, and cheap ;)
Please do not feed the Trolls!
  • Which? reported the best was OKOPLUS not that easy to get hold of but it is excellent stuff.
I sell it in my shop and every customer who has tried it has moved on to it!
Help me to help you :santa2:
  • Hi Ive tried LOADS of cat litters but I found OKOPLUS and think its great! Its a clump litter and you can flush it down the toliet (although I dont), its also not the dusty type and I find it doesnt get tread everywhere, its also very dry as any wet patches get rolled into a ball for easy disposal.

I actually found a small supply at Pets at Home, Chelmsford.
  • CityCat is the best, the crystals. You can get a bag for £2.50 at Wilkos, which lasts a few weeks with my cat.

Much better than the clumping one.
