tell him that sunbeds are a no no as you don't want to put yourself at risk of skin cancer.
Ask him for a rise in house keepingmoney as you want to get fake tans done professionally more often.2014 Target;

Having said all this, and if the comments were made as they come across here, I would be losing roughly 12 stone of dead weight rather sharpish -
My eldest DD was put on oral steroids at the same time as moving into her morbidly obese, dysfunctional around food, father. In roughly 10 weeks, she went from a size 6 to easily a size 16. His idea of a square meal is making sure that the 6oz of cheese in his sandwich had 90 degree corners.
When I saw her for the first time at the end of those ten weeks, I barely recognised her. The thoughts running through my mind (that I was desperately trying to keep hidden) were 'Oh my goodness, you're huge - is that tummy a bump or have you really eaten that much?' and other such awful things.
She had a double chin, her eyes were narrowed by the plump cheeks, you could see her thighs wobbling through her jeans and even her fingers looked fat.
Now, I love DD whatever size she is, but the actual change in her appearance was a shock to me, as her delicate features and long limbs were completely hidden by the excess weight she had put on.
Size 14 is not fat. But the rate of change might be what has caused such a tactless reaction from your OH.
If it bothers you, then do something that you will enjoy - maybe dancing rather than the gym? And that may lead to you losing weight and getting fitter and more toned. If you then want to wear more makeup or skin creosote, then feel free to do so.
For what it's worth, I have been very thin and very fat. Whatever makes you happier should be the size you go for, not what someone else whose colleague might be a human Barbie (or seems to believe the snidey comments in the Daily Venom about how size 6 is curvy and 14 is vile).
And in any case, his trying to bring you down a peg or two since your promotion might backfire on him when he realises that not only are you valued at work, that you are comfortable in your own body - which is incredibly attractive to others - although that too, could be a reason why he is doing it - you look like a glamourous starlet for the 1940s and he is convinced that if you realise how attractive you are, you'll be off.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

Tch. Well isn't he classy.
Firstly it doesn't sound like he likes a very natural look, your hair doesn't need to be done and your skin orange to look good. Many women pull off a size 14 classily too. However you did say you wanted to lose weight so I'll look at it that way. I'm a size 10 so I don't really know much about which clothes suit a size 14 etc.
Thing is I always feel sexiest naked, it's less complicated, I think we should be enchancing our look not hiding it.
So invest in some natural but radiant looking makeup, like sheseidos foundation (expensive but lasts becos u dont plaster it on) some dior eyeshadow (you only really need one for an everyday look), and skimp on your concealer (collection 200 is great for £4) mascara and liquid eyeliner as these are less important. This should already make you feel better because your not hiding your pretty face.
As for sunbeds, DO NOT USE. The sun ages you what woman wants that. If you really like how fake tan looks then go for it ask a friends advice on applying it. If you don't then don't use it, I get a lot of compliments on being pale (yet women give me a lot of stick kinda like a backwards racism) people generally where fake tan to hide flaws on their body. You don't need to makeup your body. In the bedroom the whole point is your baring all even your flaws. I have a yummy port stain on my !!! and a bit of cellulite despite being 19, some stretch marks which I love on my hips becos they make me look like a ragdoll (as if my legs were sewn on) One of my boobs I noticed at 18 is a lil bit bigger than the other and I love this I love how all of this applies to my body and it still is hot as hell. Just like yours is you're a woman you look sexy 'despite' cellulite, birthmarks, stretchmarks etc. because you're naked and have a beautiful natural body.
As for getting your hair done get the best salon you can find (read reviews) ignore the price I pay £70 for my hair he cuts it amazingly (colours it red) and it's cut so well I don't have to go often then. Only really needs trimming. If you have to dye your hair your still better paying more at least it lasts longer. Also a tip is not to dye it red like me because then it fades loads but I love red hair and thankfully I can afford it.
Losing weight? Well get him involved in the exercises be up for everything say to him you wanna play football in the park (get cheap sainsyburys trackies) or tennis doesnt matter if your crap because it's just u and him and u can make ure own rules. Maybe think of instead wasting all that cash on gym memberships you never go to getting ure own crosstrainer for home. Then there's no excuses not to 'go to the gym' get some weights and do some yoga then your muscles, cardio and stretching is all being done like u wud in the gym. Make a sticker chart and reward yourself at the end. Or subscribe to online dance classes.
My mother always said that looking your best even when your broke is vital. If you look good people assume you have a good life, a beautiful home, you're healthy and capable. If you look good, you feel good you're at your most functional and you feel more sexy so err duh you look more sexy.

Bloody hell, so just because he's encouraging her to lead a healthy lifestyle and go back to a clothes size she was happier with, she should leave him? You lot are unbelievable.
My boyfriend and I have been both planning to lose weight and start going to the gym more lately, though due to various factors we haven't been able to go at all for a month. Last week he weighed himself and found out he put on nearly a stone and that was his catalyst to start going to the gym. Then he told me I should start going again too.
I laughed and said, 'Are you calling me fat?!'
He said, 'No, but let's face it, we're both not looking our best, are we?'
Did I leave him? No. I want my partner to be honest and straightforward with me, rather than lie and say I look good. What's the point of lying? The problem might be that OP's husband was a bit inconsiderate in the way he put it across, but imo men tend to beat around the bush a lot less, and at least he has made suggestions like going to the gym. OP, there's no need to be embarrassed about it! I've seen women of all shapes and sizes at my gym, and it's supposed to be one of the 'posher' ones! I get plenty of looks because I have quite a large visible tattoo but it just makes me laugh more than anything. If you feel intimidated by any of the woman there, just imagine them doing something undignified, like straining over a toilet after a very nasty curry!Works every time!
Yes, curvy women are beautiful too, but if someone's not happy with their size, then for god's sake, self-improvement isn't such a crime.0
