  • Well diet is blown for another day or so!

Exam results finally arrived at 4:45 yesterday afternoon and I passed thank god! I now have my LLB. So it was a lovely dinner with my family last night. My dad made my favourite chinese chicken curry and we have millionaire's shortbread cheesecake and a bottle of champagne. And i don't feel the tiniest bit guilty!

Hope everyone is having a good day so far

Congratulations Orangesmartie!! That's great news! Days like that it's a must to screw the diet! Just start today!

Weighed myself again this morning and I am back to 13stone 12 after being really good yesterday so I will try and do the same again today and finally see 87kg!

    Have a great day!! Xxx

  • I may also have a champagne-induced hangover which requires lots of greasy, fatty, salty food.....

    Congratulations OrangeSmartie!!!

Fantastic achievement to get your LLB! Are you going into a practice at all? Really well done, I know how much hard work it is, my sister completed hers a couple of years ago (although now works in Finance, not Law!)

REALLY well done, and stuff the diet, that deserves a blowout!! :j

  • Thanks rdchick, beanielou and elsie. I am really pleased its been a long hard slog to get through and hold down a full time (and more!) job. I don't intend to practice, but i think Law is like a 'passport' degree, where it gets you into so many things. I have a really good job (or I will on Monday!!) as a senior manager within an NHS organisation and having a degree just gives me that next leg up the career ladder.

I'd already signed up to do a masters' degree too *gulp*

Had a call from my new boss today. They want me to go to the regional office on Monday and stay overnight rather than go to my regular base and meet my new teams. Its all a bit scary really but i'm so looking forward to it. Just a shame I'm totally skint LOL!

  • :T:T:T congratulations orangesmartie!!! :j:T:j

I'm feeling a little better now, still have a bit of the sniffles but far better than i was yesterday and day before! However whenever i have a cold i eat and eat and eat :o and this time was no exception (grr!) so i'm not looking forward to weighing in.........although i may not have done as bad as i think because I had an awful tummy upset for 2 days so that may have evened things out :o! (which is prob why i'm so hungry now my tummy wants re-filling lol)

My bank account is officially empty and still have 10, or even 11 maybe, days until pay day!!! I bought some bargains for kids xmas pressies. so the good news is i have the kids 3 main pressies (one each) bad news is i am now down by a couple of hundred quid paying for it out of my savings! And those savings were put aside for holiday money!!! I am now praying my tenants pay on time so i can replenish funds before we go! I don't want to be scrimping on holiday. It's all very well being frugal 50 weeks of the yr but my holiday will be good and i will eat as much take away as humanely possible :rotfl::rotfl:

I also have only 11 days until i have my weekend away with DH......mostly paid for but i still need to pay for 2 lunches (think breakfast both days is included) and one dinner! Oh and entertainment for one night (after our free meal :D at planet hollywood-can'twait- can you tell i'm excited :D:D) oooh!! SO was thinking of £200 for that weekend, to include train fare (only costs around £7 each from my mum's house she's babysitting!) and petrol to mums, and then the food and entertainment! DO you think this is enough/too much?? I never have adult weekends away lmao so have no idea how much to bring, what to do without 3 kids or where to go!

Oh anyway enough ramblings of things to come!! i hope everyone is doing well this week and not struggling (too much!) my exercise has gone out the window as asthma playing up a little cos of cold so must get back on it tomorrow or thursday!

    :)

sneeked a peek at the scales again today and looks like my hard work of recording EVERYTHING on the boots diet thing is working - lost another lb and weighed in at 87.6kg weeeeeee seems like it has taken ages to get to 87kg but it's finally here!!!! xxx

  • i've no idea what 87kg is :D but you sound happy so i take it is good haha! congrats :)!!

My cold has gotten worse this morning, think the kids have passed me another bug!!!!!! Can NOT wait for DH to get his butt back from work and help me out a bit. I will have time for exercise and sleep and 'me' time then so can concentrate on weight loss properly!

Anyone recommend a good place for a well fitting bra? La Senza has a sale so popped in and they only have a small range for larger sizes and all of them were plunge bras (!!!!!!?) so my boobs were just falling out all over :( really hate bra shopping! M&S don't fit properly either only place i've found is freya so far...even that is a little small though. Just wondered if any of you had any ideas....my back is small and my cup is LARGE :( (god knows why people pay to have boob jobs....nothing but trouble to get bras lol)
