Sorry I haven't been round much to support everyone more :( This week has just been beyond busy for me yet again. As a result I am not making a proper effort at eating better, however I have managed to lose another lb this week, so I am pleased about that. Maybe next week I will knuckle down! I know being busy shouldn't be an excuse for not trying hard enough, but some nights it is so hard to motivate myself

Well done on your loss. Try not to get too down. Life is busy at times and sometimes its all you can do to get through the day with work and housework and whatever else so other things go out the window a bit.

Not sure i'm going to make my £300 target this month. Due to a !!!! up with my salary this month (thank you NHS) I was £300 short which meant I've had to dip into my overflow. Normally I would have just been more frugal, but I had the silverstone weekend.

And because I'm leaving my substantive post on 22nd July and starting a new job on 25th July i'm going to be 7 days short of salary this month, thats another £600 i'll be missing :(

I'll get it back on the August salary, but its a long way to go :(

Thankfully the shortfall can be made up (again) with my two part times jobs, but its a bit of a pain.

And i appear to be pac-man at the moment, eating everything and anything in sight :( and to top it off, i've come in to work this morning and one of the docs has told me I don't sound well - sound like i'm starting a cold and have a rattly chest :(

On another note I have two more weight loss incentives:
    1) My friend and I have booked a mega trip to Montreal and Tezas next year (for F1) and we're madly saving for it, but I want to have lost enough weight that I can walk around comfortably, without sore back/knees/feet and sweating like a god-knows-what; and

    2) My exam results come out tomorrow. Final year of a law degree. And my gandparents have informed me that I am going to the graduation ceremony and I am having my picture taken in cap and gown. So I want to not look like a total heiffer.
  • Orange smartie: good luck on your exam results! I graduated 6 weeks after having my DS2 so turned up to graduation with a baby hanging from my boob, a 12 month old DD clung to my legs and i was 3 stone overweight. I won't forget that day in a hurry! My pics were awful as well, i looked completely NOT like me, so graduation pics is a def good incentive to lose weight! Unfortunately i never had time after ds2 :( booo!

  • I'm here -just- i'm dying from a cold. really feel awful, can't stop sneezing, blowing my nose and wanting to sleep. Unfortunately it seems i have THE most uncaring DH in the world right now :( i've got up all week with kids at 6 am cos he isn't here. I ask him to do it on saturday and i get 'why does everything have to be about you' :( i am so fed up, run down and just want to cry. F*ing hate men and their selfish attitude sometimes!

DD had her birthday on friday and i made the cake...........I decided to do a little tea party as the cake was HUGE! So invited some of Dh & my friends around (have kids so they could play with DD/DS's) so bought in drinks (alcohol- high calorie), sausages (the worst for going on my hips!) and also had a cake earlier on in the day at a soft play centre where we met up with 2 friends! -oops-!

Luckily for me not being able to cut cake i gave everyone HUGE portions (i assumed everyone wanted a huge slice cos i did lol) and so there was none left over for me to gorge on once everyone went home! I was also good and only had two sausage in buns and 2 ciders! :T usually i would eat till i feel sick!

I weighed in on friday and the wii said i had lost 3lb  BUT it was wrong -dammit- not sure why but it hadn't logged last week's loss properly ??? so i worked it out and it is still a loss but only 1lb! but after my few bad days i was very happy with that!

This week I am planning on running again as soon as i start feeling better. DH is back on friday for good from this stupid course he has been on for 9 weeks. Perhaps then he might be in a better mood and stop picking on us all everytime he comes home :( we'll have to see though!

I hope everyone had a brill weekend............p.s anyone seen Harry Potter................I did today!!!!!!! :D it is brilliant!!!!!! Although i sneezed and coughed all the way through it and annoyed everyone else :o

    Hi all

Just popping on very quickly as really I should be drying my hair and doing make up as I have to leave in 10, d'oh!!!

DFW, your OH is making me mad on your behalf  I hope you're feeling better today. Selfish g*t!!! I'm going to wait for Harry to come out on DVD and then do all of them in order on my Tesco DVD rental, as I don't know which ones I've seen!

orangesmartie - bad luck about your salary - at least you'll get the 7 days back the following month though... good luck with the new job!

beanielou - these things are sent to try us! Although to be fair, my parents never paid for my driving lessons, I had to use my money from my part time job! Hope you're making him do lots of jobs round the house at least! :rotfl:

neverlearn, well done on the weight loss

Eyebright... bad jokes AND money paid off a cc! What more could we ask for! ;) (I'm only kidding, I laughed actually :rotfl:)

Frodo - Seriously, bite the bullet and do the Shred. It is only 20 minutes! Over before you know it! But REALLY effective! Can't recommend it enough! I did it Saturday and Sunday and everything hurts, but mostly my calves... I can hardly walk! :D Brilliant! Am pledging to try and do it most nights this week! go on go on go on go on go on...... :T

    Have a great day all

  • Hi All
Got back from my hols yesterday and weighed myself this morning. I have put on 1lb. I have been for a walk already this morning and have done a shop last night. The plan for today is to eat very light - Tomato and goats cheese salad for lunch and am hoping to have time to make a nice light soup.
Well done to all on their weight loss.
    Allie
  • Argh!! Exam results not yet released. Feeling very sick!

*hugs* to those that need 'em. Any loss is good and Allie, only putting on 1lb on holiday is impressive! you must have been very restrained so well done.

I'm gonna start again I think I'm now 13st 13... I am gonna be honest with myself and with the food diary and see what happens, also going to use the diary conversion and not google. Had an awful weekend which consisted of 2 lots of McDonalds (in one day ) and a heavy picnic when at Guilfest with the folks... felt awful then on Sunday had a roast, creme brule and some doritoes... I am rubbish

Also have hardly any money and just sick of it all!!!

Well done everyone else, you're doing really super! Keep it up!!

I'll update the first page :D xxx
Life is too short not to love what you do.
  • Hey rdchick, you've forgotten to update me ;) overall and so far i've lost 5lb and put £253 extra towards my debts this month

aw sorry your having a bad time at the minute rdchick. I know what you mean about the no money thing, as i am always skint. I also had a bad weekend with two kids parties on saturday and my sister cooking a roast on sunday, and she plates the food up sky high. It will get better and you just have to keep at it. I often have days when i feel like giving up but always pick myself up. Dont say you cant have something as it will make you want it more.
I think i will probably have a gain this week due to the weekend of bad food. but i will not give up and will try harder from now!!! I must learn to keep a food diary aswell as that would probably help me.
