well done mandz1 on the weightloss .. it all counts :) thank goodness for this site - I am so glad I subscribed, I read more than I post but its so nice to feel that I am part of a community that thinks alike. I have only recently got on the frugal wavelength due to not having a job after the next three weeks and worrying about whats going to happen in the future but my OH whos just got out of the RAF and now doesnt have a job to go to either is a long way off thinking the way I do - he just bought a brand new printer as its wireless because his claim for petrol to move down will be going through next month and that will cover it, he will spend the £100 lottery win on more lottery tickets!

honestly I think I am going to go slowly crazy cos not only have I got to keep myself going and applying for jobs ive got to keep him going and cheered up as the reality of civvie street is hitting hard and not only that this is the first time after 2 years we will be living together so a massive adjustment is needed on my behalf as its my house and my things and ive been on my own for so long - we got married in march too lol!! phew sorry for the massive offload - feel better now! onwards and upwards as they say - I have an interview tomorrow so need to prepare!!

  • aw good luck welshywoo :) my DH is in the army and we keep discussing him leaving, and although i have a degree, i am one year off teaching and so wouldn't be on a great wage (if i could get a job) and he is trained in all sorts of weird and wonderful things that civvie street prob has no use for !!

ALso ds1 is at boarding school and we only get it so cheap as dh is in the army so i think we are stuck here for the mean time! Your oh will come round eventually if you keep throwing spreadsheets, grocery bills, and debts in front of his face :D (I find when they have a full tummy and a beer in hand is best time...they don't bite your head off quite so quickly haha)

I've only just joined the DF bandwagon in January after realising my LBM! took a long time coming too (^.^)!!! we'll all get there together (eventually lol) and well done on the savings! Keep posting it really does help and i've found 'most' people on here very nice and welcoming. esp on the DFW board...some of the other forums are a bit b1tchy though i've noticed esp if you accidently tread on someone's toes lol!

thanks dfw321 - its such a comfort knowing that others understand what I'm up against! I just cant believe you are going through it with 3 children!! I'm so wanting to start a family but until OH stops acting like a child himself and we get some sort of employment (im more likely to than him as I can locum but means going all over the place ) theres no way and I will have to earn the money to keep the house going too and probably all of his bills and organise his debt, which is a lot more than I had thought but of course its always someone else's fault :-s!!

well done on the weight loss happinessismygoal - not sure which way i'll go this week - stress it on or stress it off!!
