Actually no his wasn't a personal attack. His was a different opinion of which he was entitled to post. However once again posters are making personal attacks on those who's opinions are not the same as theirs.

If having the moral high ground is defending the right of personal opinion then I'm happy to be on it.

And yes I will thank whoever I like. Perhaps you need to stop scrutinizing other people's posting history and look at your own a tad more closely

Whatever he posted he was allowed to do so without getting the verbal attack. There's a lot of posters who's opinions I disagree with but to resort to labelling them and suggesting theybare if no impotence? I wouldn't assume to

Suki its never a personal attack when its a man posting though is it?Yet when a woman makes a similar comment its seen as an attack.

If a man does it hes assertive
If a woman does it shes a !!!!!

And how come Dave made a comment querying poppeyfields abilities as a mother yet on threads like these the fathers abilities never seem to get called into question.

Given that the board title is "The MoneySaving in Marriages, Relationships & Families Board" one could argue that the whole posting of "agony aunt" threads is totally inappropriate!

if you believe this to be true, would it not be better if you only posted advice or opinions on money saving threads and not on the so called"agony aunt" threads?

I wonder if they record abuse reports in any way?

I would be interested to see who the prolific ones are! I also reckon I could accurately guess several of the top ten!

Personally, I think alarm bells should be ringing alongside a username if they've hit that button more then a few times a week.

Some posters must be racking up hundreds in a short space of time.

You're more concerned about the MSEers who follow the site rules and flag up rule breaking posts to the abuse team than the ones who post the rule breaking posts?

I'm more concerned with how poppyfields & her family are doing than arguing over who is making personal attacks (or not).

No, I'm more concerned about the ones who hit the button in order to censor posts they do not like, or are not going their way. ;)

Genuine abuse is not as common as some like to portray.

It would be very unlucky for one poster to spot every real abusive post and it would not be a huge number even if they did.

I can probably still count on my fingers the number of abusive posts I've reported since 2004. Some will notch up that many on one thread they happen to dislike.
