The thread you mention is still on the board but has been locked...as the OP started it under an alternative identity, she may never return. I assume the OP may have asked for it to be locked or it may have been locked by the forum itself, as it was miles off topic and also included a great deal of unpleasantness.

MSE Andrea closed it last night because there were so many reports of abuse against some posters on it that the team took the view it was taking up too much time for a non money saving thread.

The thread has been closed due to the number of posters who only cared about one thing: arguing amongst themselves about the rights and wrongs of the topic!

I am personally very cross about this. So many selfish posters who couldn't discipline themselves and take the discussion into DT where there is a perfectly good thread on the topic of abortion. Or they could have created a new thread in there too. Oh but no! That would have been too easy and too thoughtful wouldn't it?

I hope poppyfields19 and her dd are ok.

I was following too and think she seemed like a great Mum. I do hope it works out OK for them but none of the available options are easy to deal with.

I do hope Poppy comes back to update us all. I would like to know what her daughter decides to do and how it all goes.

Sadly I think people were reporting posts to abuse just because they had a different point of view, this seems to becoming a problem on MSE, if someone doesn't agree with a post they're reporting it. The forum team posted a few days ago warning that if people didn't stop reporting things just because they didn't like the content they would find themselves banned. I saw quite a few posts on that thread saying they'd reported someone when, in my opinion, there was absolutely no need.

If something is posted on a public forum you're going to get a variety of opinions but they shouldn't be reported unless they genuinely are spam or abusive. Using the report button just because you don't like what's being said causes unnecessary hassle for the MSE team and threads end up being locked.

If Poppyfields is reading this I hope your DD is well and the meeting she had yesterday helped. :)

Another who was checking it each day for updates on how they were getting along. Hopefully she will keep us up to date somehow and we can get back onto how to be MSE on the topic hehe
