Does anybody else here use normal malt vineger for all the house hold tasks that require the stuff? I am just not really wanting to pay out for white vinegar, especially as there was none in the Chinese supermarket today.Debt free and plan on staying that way!!!!0

I use ordinary vinegar, the cheapest I can get. For general cleaning around and for keeping the toilet bowl limescale free it doesn't have to be white vinegar imho.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0

I've used malt vinegar for most things - even as a conditioner in the wash when I haven't had white vinegar. Didn't make any difference IMHO.0

Hi all,
just bought distilled malt vinegar from tesco as it was the only one there that was clear, is this the right vinegar for cleaning? Please could someone advise me.
Cheers x0 -
All vinegar is good for cleaning, you just need to avoid the dark one as it will stain absorbant surfaces. So if it's vinegar, and if it's clear, you should be OK0

Yep should be fine
Infuture though try and buy either value or from pound shops etc as much much cheaper

Is there a Value distilled/white vinegar? I've never seen it - perhaps it's only in the larger Mr Ts?0
-
I'm sure there is... Although I might have been thinking Smart price... I'm SURE I've seen it in a value wrapping though... But yes it would have been a HUGE Mr Ts probably - I only go to a tiny one or a huge one and it's not gonna have been the smaller oneDFW Nerd #025DFW no more!
