Just a thought re supermarkets, they won't be wanting to sell larger quantities of vinegar ~ it will take away the profit from the expensive cleaning products - why sell us a gallon of a cheap product when they can sell you ten different ones.
If you have a Chinese deli in your area, ask them, Our local one sells a gallon, non brewed condiment, for £1.99. It was about 6 mths ago, so may have gone up a little.0 -

I've found that bog standard malt vinegar is fine. Even for those areas such as laundry or the loo where people have suggested a risk of staining. (I've never had any such problem.)
Asda sell 500mil for 17p
That makes it 34p per litre.
And so approx £1.53 per gallon.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. and me ...
Thank you for contacting us. I see that you would like to be able to buy Sainsbury’s White Balsamic Vinegar in larger bottles, possibly 5 Litre. I understand how popular this product has become for household chores.
Balsamic??? Surely that should be 'distilled', balsamic vinegar is very expensive so you wouldn't use that for cleaning.0 -

White vinegar is brilliant for cleaning windows and mirrors....put a couple of cap fulls into your bowl of water and clean windows as usual and then get dry kitchen roll and dry them off - or a soft cloth if the kitchen roll paper is too scratchy....also good for cleaning the fridge and getting rid of those funny smells.....cleaning trainers....alsorts of things'Normal' is a dryer setting.0 -
What percentage solution would I need to clean a floor with white malt vinegar?0

I just use a good splash (half a teacupful?) in a bucket of very hot water on my wooden floors and I think it keeps them looking really good.0

I use blue flash. Dilute it in an old spray bottle about one sixth fluid to water. Cleans really well and leaves a nice smell.Start by doing what's necessary, then do what's possible and suddenly you are doing the impossible:j
