The breakfasts at the Weatherspoons local to us are fantastic value to money and we have never had a problem.. We have also had a burger meal deal.. there also quite good.
Cant say Ive had anything else from the menu.0 -
I know someone who used to work in the huge catering places that supply ready made meals to chain pubs and after hearing his stories, I would NEVER EVER eat anything that came out of their so called kitchens! Not going to go into details, needless to say this person won't eat in any chain pub that does 'food' either. I have to say that I have eaten at a few different Wetherspoons - normally in the north west and have had excellent food every time. I guess it varies from pub to pub as there are different staff at each and they will all have their own ways of doing etc.Weight Loss - 102lb0

Im sure if the food Inspectors had seen or tasted the food at this restaurant, that they would have had a warning. It was that bad!
???? you and your wife had 1 meal there, hers was fine and yours was awful. How can that warrant a warning? just sounds like yours was taken back and heated up which is why it was awful.0 -

So are you telling me then that they scraped off ALL the brown sauce on my plate before they re-heated it? I checked for clues, or did it go in the washing up bowl then re-heated?0 -
i dont know. did you tell us you'd covered it in brown sauce and then checked the plate for clues?0

They probably put the food on a fresh plate.
I only expect EDIBLE food for a tenner I would not expect a fantasic meal at that price. Thats where it all starts to go wrong - pepole want so called 'good food' cheap. You gets what you pays for. My fave place to go with OH was about £100 for two, but if you only go twice a year as we did it is cheaper than going to wetherspoons every week, and a lot more memorable.

When a meal arrives, the first thing people do is put on Salt and Pepper and whatever Sauces they want. That has been going on from the year dot!0 -

Sarahsaver. It doesnt matter whether food costs £10 or £100 for 2 people. Food has to be edible for human consumption. It comes under the food and hygene laws. That is why Restaurants, and Take Aways have been closed down by food and hygene Inspectors!
Yes I use expensive Restaurants as well, but for a snack I decided to use Wetherspoons. And even at £10 they are making a profit. And everyone is entitled to a refund if the food at whatever price is C***!:rolleyes:0 -

and everybody has salt and pepper and sauces on everything they eat i presume?
Although a slight correction. The first thing NORMAL people do when a meal arrives is they taste it to see if it needs salt and pepper.0
